Brian and Brett at Sound Decks were super helpful as I considered different options to replace the decking of our existing deck. Brian came to the house to discuss the project and take measurements at no cost. Brett quoted several options for my consideration and was very patient. I decided to delay the project until spring but they will be the first company I will call when I’m ready to move forward with this project.

Super pleased with our new second-story ~400sq ft deck from Sound Decks. As our old cedar deck started to rot out over the past few years, we started looking for a deck company that could upgrade us to composite, install stairs and a roof, and stay within a fairly tight budget. One of our neighbors had used Sound Decks as well and we were impressed by the workmanship and fine details. About 6 weeks after we committed to a plan (and about 2 weeks of back and forth about detailed design and materials questions), we have our new deck! The crew was a pleasure to work with and consulted us on all the design questions that came up. They were courteous, timely, and left the site clean each day. There are so many details in the deck where we or our guests have said, “wow, that is a professional job,” from the picture frame stairs to the mitered trim cuts to the sturdiness of the aluminum railing. We hope to use Sound Decks again in the future for fence work, but will likely never need them again for our deck as its certainly built to outlast us well into the future!

If you are looking for a company to install your decks, I’m excited to tell you that Sound Decks (Brett Backues and his foreman, Justin) and his crew (Harvey, and Angel) did an exceptional job on my composite deck job. Their professionalism, communications, workmanship, attention to detail, and all the little extras that they did (truly going above and beyond) were well beyond my expectations! We has a small fence and gate to replace. In addition, we wanted to replace the deck boards on a small deck. Brett, Justin and team were very accommodating with out project. Justin helped determine the style of the fence and gate to complement our home. The work was very well done and completed on time. The fence, gate and deck boards are beautiful. Sound Decks replaced my rotting wood deck with composite decking and aluminum railing. I am glad that I hired them for the job. They were: on schedule (actually ahead of schedule), on budget, good quality of work. Communication was easy and clear. No complaints.
