Although we were unable to get a deck with this company, they were great to work with and figuring out what was wrong with the back of our townhome. Structural damage prevented us from obtaining a deck at this time but the customer service especially from president and Oscar were noteworthy. We will definitely employ their services when we are able. Would recommend.

I shopped several companies before choosing Northern Virginia Deck & Fence to complete my residential fence and gate repair/replacement. I would recommend this company for those looking for quality at a competitive price. I was also happy with each of the people I came in contact at this company. They were very profession and I was happy make the correct choice on this home repair.

Northern Virginia Deck & Fence installed a pine yard-perimeter fence + front walk gate + driveway swing gate for my Del Ray rowhouse in April 2022. Lead time was about a month, and on the day the job was completed ahead of schedule. The fence wasn’t cheap, but competitively priced for the area and cost of materials during the COVID pandemic. More importantly, now nearly a year after the install, Dominion Energy has asserted a right-of-access over a small portion of my property interfering with the fence. After discussing the issue with NVD&F’s owner Larry Roseborough, within about a week NVD&F sent a team out free of cost to modify the fence using joist brackets so Dominion can modularly remove a short section when they need to. Thank you to Larry and NVD&F for their professionalism and assistance dealing with Dominion, and for finding a solution to everyone’s satisfaction.

This review is for the overall customer service only: I contacted Northern Virginia Deck & Fence to obtain a quote for a gate /potential fence replacement. While the response to my initial call all the way to the contractor providing a quote was prompt, everything from that point was down hill. I responded to my emailed quote the same day to clarify whether the recommendation of the contractor was only to replace the gate or if I should go ahead and plan to replace the entire fence as well. 2 days after no response, I called the office, and was directed to the contractors’ office line as he was supposed to be in. I ended up leaving a voice message. The following week, after no response, I called again and was directed to the project manager, who was not familiar with the project, and said he would text the owner and the contractor to follow up. I have not received a response to this day, just a bit over a month since I was first in touch with them, which is a bit of a disappointment.

We had our deck redone by NOVA Deck and fence and it was an easy smooth process. After kissing a lot of false starts with other deck builders who ranged from no show to utter incompetence, we were happy to find NOVA deck and fence who could take us from quote to build with all the ease and professionalism of an experienced business. We had an old builder grade deck replaced with TREX and it looks absolutely dandy! Our dogs love it and sunbathe on the deck everyday – we hope to replace this vicarious joy with a more personal one when the weather cools down:)) We highly recommend Northern Virginia Deck and Fence. Thanks much for a great job!

Update: The fence was installed. The crew were extra careful not to disturb new landscaping while working on the fence and cleaned up work siet nicely after finishing. Update: They sent out the estimator the same day and we received an updated proposal which we have accepted. More after the work gets done. Old: We received an estimate, but when I asked for an adjustment to correct it and never received a reply. They contacted me after getting the bad review and are making attempts to make it right.

We had a massive deck installed last summer, as well as a fence enclosing the backyard. The office was very responsive and professional and they did a great job. It’s unbelievably gorgeous. I love it! I would do it all over again, I can’t recommend them enough.

We recently bought a new new home and needed a fence. They yard was large, over .3 acre and we had unique terrain considerations. NOVA Deck &Fence provides EXCELLENT customer service. Oscar was wonderful to work with and help us plan and adjust our project as needed. We decided to make a few adjustments to to our fence design after construction began and the entire team was super helpful. We are very happy with the entire process and would encourage folks to give them a call.

Great experience. Small office, very responsive. The estimator dropped off samples and brochures in advance of my appointment. Crews showed up on time, worked efficiently; secured the building permit and scheduled inspections. Very pleased with the quality of the deck and fence. Would use them again and highly recommend.
