The ten year warranty is a farce. I have been trying to communicate with them to repair spots that are peeling and have received no answers. Tried calling and emailing since last summer.

Please note that this is an edited, review as the company did follow up and apologize, and actively working to fix all the issues. The product does is great where it is sticking to the decking. And getting it coated in the first place was fast, responsive, and the workers were great. There have been some issues where there was general chipping, and one large issue, however I think these may have been an issue with the new lumber bought rather than a larger issue. And they were able to come out and repair the issue spots. Hopefully a little bit of reapplying will take care of any other problems. Still way cheaper and less maintenance than any other product I got from the paint/big box store or replacing every bit of decking. I will update further after some time has passed.

Well the coating isn’t even dry yet but I wanted to post a review based on the service and professionalism of everyone involved. Got an estimate same day that I called and just over a week later, the job is complete. How often does that happen with contractors or repair/service people these days? I’m really happy with the look and will trust the reviews and the 10-year warranty that indicate this product will LAST. Awesome all around.

I also waited almost a year to review This product. It is more than i hoped for. For the first time in twenty seasons, I didn’t have to remove a sliver from a grandchild’s foot. Don’t miss that.. also the nonskid feature of the product eliminates slipping on the dock. As a grandpa, i love that. Also reflects the sun.. my pool deck is ipe. Can’t walk on it barefoot in the summer midday sun. The acryfin coated dock boards don’t absorb the sun’s rays so they can be walked on barefoot without burning your feet. With the recent explosion in lumber prices, the math for using acrafin is even more compelling. This is a real review. Pete can arrange a showing if you are seriously considering this product.

I always laugh at reviews that are posted the same day, of course everything’s great at the beginning! I have deliberately waited 8 months to write this one. I met Pete at the boat show and his display of the Acryfin coating on some pretty worn decking impressed me enough to call for a quote. Initially, I thought that quote seemed high, but when I compared it to the cost of re-decking my 25 x 25 dock, it was actually quite reasonable. Everyone I dealt with by phone and e-mail was professional and responsive throughout. Pete and his crew arrived on time and were very considerate of my property as well as compliant with Covid protocols. The material was applied in a careful manner, cutting in around cleats and dock lights. NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT PART… I don’t know what this stuff is, but the combination of primer and finish is like nothing I’ve ever seen. It’s thick enough that it fills small imperfections in the wood, the non-skid material is just the right amount that the grand kids don’t slip when running even when wet, yet not so tough that it’s uncomfortable on bare feet, and it is incredibly durable. We have moved wrought iron patio furniture around on it, dragged waterskis, wakeboards, and kayaks across it, and I defy you to find a mark. I recently shoveled a path through about 30 inches of snow that’s been sitting on the dock, and it looks as good as the day it was painted. I highly recommend Acryfin Coastal Coatings, both the company and the product, and i plan on using them again for my next project.

Pete and his brother are a great team! They took care of us in a professional and prompt time frame. They were very nice to chat with and answered all my questions. We talked daily via email about our painting of our dock. We were very happy with the results of the paint on our old dock. It looked new once again! Beautiful work! We would definitely recommend them to paint your docks as well!

We had a very very weathered deck that was almost in need of replacement. We found Peter with AcryfinCoastalCoating at the boat show and decided to give it a try. We were very happy with working with Peter with what was necessary to get job done on a timely basis and could not be happier with professionalism and results of our deck.
