Did not have Midtown do any work, but was not impressed with the sale’s guy’s tactics. Initial bid for full exterior update (roof, soffits, gutters, facia, windows, shutters, front door, siding) was $136k!! We did get a 15% discount for answering a door knocker (despite the “No Soliciting” sign at the entrance to our subdivision), and was offered another discount if we would leave a review, allow a yard sign to be put up during the project work, and agree to price confidentiality. Final bid came in at $90k — double every other bid we had. We’re also running our roof replacement through insurance, to which I was told clearly that Midtown does not work with insurance adjusters. Sales guy then put the hard press on me to sign on the spot, despite my clear objection to the bid amount or even wanting to study my budget to see if I could handle payments on an additional $30k over the financing we already had in place. He even suggested that I cut back my retirement savings in order to afford this!! The guys were nice enough until it was time to talk money, then it was high pressure to get me to sign and spend more money than I was comfortable with and more than any other contractor bid was. I’m sure they do good work, but to be able to cut $45k off of a bid and still make money when other contractors can do the same work for literally half the cost tells me that their O&P numbers are astronomical. Homeowners — do your due diligence and get multiple bids. Ask lots of questions about materials from all bid sources. Understand exactly what it is that you want done, the scope of your project, etc. But if you’re offered a discount on the contingency that you don’t tell anyone what you paid then you’re going to be paying too much.

Midtown Hone improvements replaced 9 windows at our home. I was very impressed with the installation crew that came to do the job. They did a fabulous, very meticulous, and always answered orations that we had. They left the areas clean had took the old windows away. Everything went flawlessly. Based upon our experience, I would trust them to do another project for us and recommend that anyone planning a home improvement project give them an opportunity.

Had my gutters replaced 2 years ago and the new gutters are already falling off the house. Both sides were not leveled correctly so when it rains they overflow in the middle vs going down the downspouts. Called their support lines and never reached a person or received a callback after multiple VM. Would not recommend for a big project if they can’t even do the small ones right.
