I highly recommend Rafael and Hayward Pro Painting. Rafael recently replaced all (4) of our old rotting decks with new composite decks. He was very attentive to the deck structure and made sure to fix any underlying issues. His attention to detail resulted in great looking decks. The quality is of the highest standards: from the exact placement of the boards to the paint color matching. His workers were extremely polite, clean, and helpful. And the icing on the cake was that they were dog friendly which made the day to day a lot easier. One of the best contractors I have had in 35 years in the bay area.

I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews, but in this instance I felt it important to do so. I recently used Hayward Pro to replace a 30 year old redwood deck with a new composite deck. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. Rafael and his team did an excellent job and followed my specifications exactly. The customer service and responsiveness was outstanding, and the quality of their work superior. I will definitely use them for projects in the future.

With no reservations I recommend Hayward Pro Painting. Rafael responded quickly to all of my questions and was very easy to work with. He and his team did an excellent job refinishing our deck – in four days of hard work, they took it from a battered gray to a beautiful rich redwood stain. They were always on time, paid great attention to detail, and both removed and returned all the items that were on our deck. We will not hesitate to call on Hayward Pro when we need deck or fence work in the future. A ten star business.

Rafael & team with Hayward Pro Painting do great work. Our deck is 20+ yrs old and was not up to current code. Rafael worked with us to bring the deck up to code which makes it MUCH sturdier. He extended the deck and then cleaned and stained it to finish off the project. Rafael is easy to work with and really knows his stuff. Highly recommend this crew.

Rafael is experienced, knowledgeable, and thorough. He.fixed our bathroom floor which was sinking due to a previous leak, and a faulty repair done by someone else. Rafael is on time, explains what is needed and how he is fixing the problem. Very professional. Hopefully we won’t need him again but will definitely use him if we do!

After seeing what Rafael has built as replacement of our old deck, we recommend him without ANY reservation. Our deck project required a lot of complicated engineering and design skill to work with our requirements. This was not a simple build. It also had to be able to survive well in the salt air of the Coastside so we required stainless steel for all connections. During the build, we were impressed to see the excellent engineering and strength of the support structure he built. Rafael handled the Azek decking in the exactly the way we requested, and provided design solutions along the way that improved upon what we had originally requested. He built a beautiful custom wood railing and gave it thorough priming and painting. In addition to the beauty of the finished deck, Rafael gave us what we have not enjoyed from any other contractor–excellent, timely communication. We have now experienced the superior skill and care that Rafael gives to a difficult project, and we are impressed and grateful.

Rafael was quick to respond for my quote request. His estimate was reasonable for the work we needed, some deck repair, cleaning and staining. He was very honest about when he could schedule our job. He and his crew were very professional and showed up on time. My husband and I are very pleased with the work Rafael and his crew did, in reviving our 20+ year old deck. We are happy to recommend this business!
