If I could rate A-1 10 stars I would. Jeff is the most professional and hard working contractor I have ever hired. The quality of his work is unmatched. I would recommend his company to anyone. He keeps you posted on timelines, makes suggestions when situations arise and totally keeps you involved when needed. My wife and i are so happy with our new deck and ready to enjoy it.

It was a pleasure to work with Jeff. He helped use decide whether to build a maintenance free deck using composite decking or go with the treated version. He was very knowledgeable of the products and helped us choose what looked good, went well together, and was economical. When it was time to do the work. Jeff worked each day in mostly bad weather, stayed on scheduled, did a great clean up, and the results were better than we pictured it would be. If I had another deck to build, I would just call Jeff because it was a good experience from start to finish.

I had a deck replaced in my back yard by A-1 Quality Carpentry. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor in my life. Jeff was knowledgeable, prompt, communicative, experienced, and had an obvious love for the work he did. I fell in love with one of the photos on their website, and he was able to translate it to my property. He is very patient, and the work definitely was top-notch. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He really knows his stuff!

We hired A-1 to tear out existing deck and re-build a new deck using composite materials. Jeff was a pleasure to work with. The job started about a week ahead of schedule and he was at our house everyday until the job was completed, which took about a week. We are very pleased with the final product. Jeff was great at communicating with us each day about the status of the project. I’d highly recommend A-1 to friends, family and neighbors.

Mr. Prude started ahead of schedule, excellent communication about the work and the cost, and a fantastic finished product. He worked through sun, rain, cold and stayed late the last day to finish. We asked for a last-minute change and he made it with no problem. We love our new deck, and so does everyone else who’s seen it.

Cannot say enough about the professionalism and great work done by this company. Would give 10 stars if could! Jeff Prude and his co-workers were the best contractors we have ever dealt with. Hard working, friendly, professional and extremely efficient! Our deck and patio fencing are beautiful and I would recommend them to anyone. They are very busy so make your plans a few months out. I will try to post pics in few days and add on to review.

In August 2021, I contacted A1 Quality Carpentry (Jeff Prude owner) for an estimate to demo our 30 year old deck and build a new one. We met with Jeff shortly after our initial call to discuss our design ideas and get his insight. He was very friendly, receptive to our ideas and offered some very good advice. After researching many deck building companies, we saw project pictures and customer testimonials on his website and were convinced he would do a great job. We made a down payment later that month and he scheduled our build for the Spring of 2022 due to his other customer commitments. In early March 2022, Jeff contacted us to schedule the work to begin. Jeff took down our old deck and had it hauled away in a single day. The next day he started the build process and each phase of the project was inspected by the City of Columbus. Jeff is one of the best building contractors I’ve ever worked with. It was amazing how much he accomplished in 6 days, all by himself. Jeff is very conscientious, hard working, has a great attitude and does excellent work using good materials. He did a great job cleaning up at the end of every day. Our new deck is awesome, built to code, larger and much safer than our old deck. I highly recommend Jeff to anyone considering a deck build project.

Jeff was so responsive prior to and during construction. He was the best priced and best rated. During construction, he was so efficient doing the entire deck himself. Any question we had, he was prepared to answer. I would recommend him to anyone for deck work.
