I contacted Olson Construction to merely inquire about the prospect of either building a home on the property our shop is on, or turning the shop into a Barndominum. We were very pleased with the on-sight knowledgeable insight provided as to the most feasible solution for us. As a homeowner who has construction experience, I have been involved in a number of major home building projects over the last 40 years, using many different construction contractors. When we wanted a detached garage built on our property, we carefully researched available contractors and decided to use Olson Construction Inc. for that project. The experience working with them was excellent! John Olson was beyond amazing in attention to details, providing accurate estimates of availability and costs, answering all our questions and he kept in contact throughout the project. His crew, and especially lead carpenter Cody, demonstrated exceptional work quality, attention to details and always arrived on time. The end result was a beautifully constructed garage that added to the appearance of our property. I highly recommend John Olson and Olson Construction Inc. and will definitely use them for future projects! Thank you!

My kitchen remodel from a typical worn out 80’s Golden Oak to a modern, beautiful (IMO) Maple and dark oak combination couldn’t make me more happy. Working with Olson Construction was a very good experience. I have been told I’m “very thorough”, which some people might think is picky. I know what I want, and the team in charge of bringing my vision to life were very patient, they always took the time to answer my questions and went the extra mile to make sure the ideas I had were able to become real. Nate, our project manager, never left us hanging, always answered us and was very responsive to all my requests. Most important, the finished project turned out even better than I could have imagined. We will definitely use Olson again for any future projects!

We had an excellent experience with the Olson Construction team during a recent bathroom remodel. They were prompt, efficient and always maintained a clean and well organized work area. They worked very hard at continually keeping us informed of the timeline for construction. John is very organized, personable, respectful and an excellent communicator and team leader. We would work with him again in an instant. We are extremely happy with our decision to work with the Olson team as well as with the results of our project.

Olson Construction updated all of our exterior doors. We really valued their attention to detail, thoughtful and timely communication, and helping us make choices that aligned with the architecture of our home. What a pleasure it is to come home and have every door operate so smoothly, be more energy efficient, and look sharp. We look forward to working with Olson Construction again.

Although each team member was extremely friendly when they came to our home, we were deceived when it came to finishing our project. We had an egress window, and a bedroom added into our basement. It took from October-January for them to complete as we were only worked in between other projects. We would go weeks in between without seeing someone. When it came to the end of the project and time to lay the flooring my husband offered to complete this in case we were going to go over budget. We were reassured that we were going to finish the project on budget and that they could surely lay the flooring for us. Only to find out that our invoice after finishing the project was $7000 OVER ESTIMATE! I get that an I estimate is only an ESTIMATE but $7000 is not only a little bit over. There was no apology for communication issues and a simple 1k was taken off our final statement. We are extremely frustrated with our choice of contractor and only wish that we can save someone else the frustration that we endured. DO NOT TRUST JOHN OLSON.

I had an addition done by Olson. They kept me informed on timing and progress. They listened to my wants and needs as well as kept me within my budget. I have recommended them and would definitely work with them again. I’ve gotten estimates on a few smaller projects and have been pleased with their response and expertise.
