They stole from me. They stole my laptop that was sitting g on my bed and found a gun I had in my bedroom and stole it too.

Very disappointed. I’ve used them several times for a year, and my appointments are either canceled without my knowledge, they show up super late, and when they do show up they do a mediocre job and blame me for “not having my house picked up” when in reality it’s not bad…

The initial trip was for a “deep clean” and after arriving 30 minutes late, several portions of the house were skipped. Then, I was charged more than we agreed to on the phone. 1. Blinds were only half-dusted. 2. Accordian doors in master bath were not cleaned. 3. Air conditioning vents on the ceiling are still dusty. 4. Tops of door frames were not dusted. 5. Top of armoire in the front room was not dusted. 6. Hard water spots on kitchen sink remain. 7. Several areas of grout in master bath still dirty – not mildew, but dirt. This job might be acceptable for a “weekly” tidy, but definitely does not feel like a “deep clean.” This was a gift for my wife, and she came home and we had to finish the job before we hosted guests. This job was a “good start” to a deep clean or a satisfactory weekly clean, but we are disappointed and frustrated. They offered to come back to finish, and they were 1.5 hours late to that appointment. And during that trip, a blind was torn down out of its bracket and it scraped the wall and gouged the window frame. And now, as I am reviewing my bank statement, I realize they charged me two more charges the day after the initial overcharge. This company is a huge scam.

When setting up my appointment with Merry Maids the man on the phone took one of my cards to put in on file for safety/cancellation purposes. He told me that it would not be charged until they followed up with me after the cleaning and I gave the okay to charge that card incase I wanted to use a different method of payment. I ended up wanting to pay with a different card of mine that I put on file so I called them and left them a message. After hours of no returned call I checked my bank account and the card had been charged without the okay. I called again to see if they could reverse the charge so I could pay with my other card and the lady said she could not do it. Becuase of this I really am not happy and probably won’t ever use them again even though the ladies did a great job cleaning.

Called on Friday 12-27 and Liz made an appointment for 10:30 AM Monday 12-30. At 11:00 0’clock I called and found Liz hadn’t left yet for the appointment. In fact although she remembered making an appointment with me she couldn’t find it on her schedule. She rescheduled the appt. for 1:00 pm the same day. At 1:45 I called and was told she got called into an urgent meeting. At this point I cancelled my interest in using this Merry Maids. After reading the one review on their web page, and I would suggest you read it before you employ their services, I decided to add my experience and hopefully it will safe someone getting similar treatment. Also maybe the owners will review the situation and put responsible people in charge. In another location I used Merry Maids for 15 years and never had an issue with them. It was in Grand Junction, CO if you want to check it out. If new management is installed at the San Marcus/New Braunfels location I would like a call to see if I haven’t found satisfactory service elsewhere.
