I have been a client since 2010 or so. The people who run S&S are incredibly high character. They care about their cleaning crews both personally and professionally. We have been working with Joshua and Crystal over the last few years; they have been excellent and just as importantly, incredibly reliable.

UPDATE: I’ve been using Sponge and Sparkle for over a year now and I’m still very happy. I’ve had Joshua as my sparkler for quite some time now and he is always so friendly, warm, and very thorough in his cleaning. And he never hesitates to ask questions and always asks at the end of each cleaning if everything looks good or if something else is needed. I look forward to Tuesday every 4 weeks for my home cleaning! Highly recommend this company. Sponge and Sparkle was excellent and Monica my “sparkler” was amazing! I’ve been trying to keep up with cleaning my 2 bedroom 2.5 bathroom townhome on my own but with work that has been difficult. A friend recommended Sponge and Sparkle and they did not disappoint. Monica showed up on time and was very kind, professional, and thorough! Needless to say my house was sparkling! No dust to be seen including on the blinds and baseboards and my house smelled like a clean citrus that lingered for days. Monica was even nice to come back the next morning to finish up when she ran out of time the day before (not her fault, I had requested a deep clean as my house needed it!). The office staff is also very responsive and walked me through the process and was very upfront about how pricing works. I’ve signed up for monthly standard cleaning services moving forward and I look forward to it!

Naja cleaned my home perfectly. I have no complaints. It was nice to come home to excellence. It smelled good and all of the little extras, I asked, Naja took care of. I highly recommend.

We were so pleased with how clean our home was after a deep clean by Sponge & Sparkle. It was clear that the team was detailed oriented and took the time to make sure they didn’t miss anything. I was personally touched by how the team arranged my son’s (many) stuffed animals on his bed after they changed the sheets. Those little touches really make a cleaning service stand apart from the rest.

Sheila did a wonderful job with our townhouse. She was meticulous, thorough, went above and beyond! She was really friendly and a pleasure to work with. We will certainly ask her to come again next time we book!

I had a move in deep clean with Sponge & Sparkle and was disappointed with the end result. The two stars are for the employee who came as she was very kind and hard working. She wasn’t done by the 4 hour mark, but she said she only had a little bit left to do and stayed an extra 20 mins to finish mopping the first floor. She did accidentally break my laundry room door, but Sponge & Sparkle connected me to a handyman pretty quickly. There was also a quality control employee who dropped by an hour in and said “things are looking perfect” which lets me know that maybe Sponge & Sparkle and I just have different definitions of what perfect looks like. I thought attention to detail was lacking because a lot of areas were missed like under the sinks, door trims, baseboards. It’s not even that they were too dirty or sticky to remove. I ran a finger over the missed areas and easily removed the dust. There were other areas that the employee didn’t seem well equipped for – she said the stains on the inside of the oven door she couldn’t get off. There was also some leftover tape in the shower that wasn’t cleaned. I wouldn’t recommend them for a deep clean.

I am a bit disappointed in the move-in cleaning service that I received. At first, I was content after doing a quick walk through before moving. As it was during the middle of the workday and work week, I was not able to do a very thorough inspection of the house. After moving in, though, I’ve noticed lots of missed spots of cleaning. It was my understanding that the move-in cleaning service would clean the cabinets and shelves. This did not appear to be done, or if it was done it was not done well. Most shelves, drawers and cabinets I had to reclean. The bathrooms were cleaned, although there were a few locations (such as under the vanity) that were missed. Shelves in the laundry room were not cleaned and I could visibly see trash between the washer and dryer. They did a good job mopping and vacuuming. Floors were all done very well, so that is at least a positive and merits more than just a single star. The service and the people were very polite as well. However, due to aforementioned issues, I can’t recommend them in good conscience.
