DON’T DO IT. I know it’s easy to book online, and I know that you’ll be compelled by the visual pricing tools – but IT’S NOT WORTH IT. The cleaners that Aloha Maids contracted my work out to broke pieces in my house, spun them around to hide the damage, and then disappeared off the face of the earth after I discovered the damage (they’re currently refusing to respond to both my AND Aloha’s contact attempts). Aloha has totally shirked the blame, saying that they had to work it out with the cleaner (who again, has ghosted). If you get a good cleaning company, great! But there’s also the probability that you’ll end up being assigned a company with terrible reviews, like I did. (This doesn’t even begin to cover the mediocre cleaning job – rugs were left unvacumed, showers left untouched, etc.). I still gave good tips ($40/person on a $160/service) and by my third service, the cleaners were bringing FOUR team members and doing less work – I’ve never felt so ripped off in my life, especially while tipping 100% on the (subpar) services rendered! I know booking someone directly on finding someone on Nextdoor is a way bigger hassle, but it’s just not worth the risk. You can’t trust these people to care about the quality of cleaner they send into your home, and they WILL NOT be helpful on the backend if anything breaks.
