I claimed a deal early August for up to (4) hours of housekeeping for $89.00 on Angie’s List with vendor M&R Cleaning Services. The vendor initially reached out to me to discuss the deal. I followed up via Angie’s List and then I had to call the vendor to confirm the date of service as the provider did not give a final reply on Angie’s List. I asked the vendor to come at 11:00 am today and he said he could come at 10:00 am. The vendor texted me this morning that he could come at 10:30 am and would text me when on the way. At 10:37 am the vendor texted me he was on the way; basically arriving around 11:00 am which is the original time I requested. Once on-site, my friend advised the vendor that I wanted my (4) bathrooms cleaned; two half baths and 2 full baths, vacuum, wipe down the cabinets in the kitchen, and straighten up the loft. My house is 1700 sq. ft. The vendor advised that he would not honor Angie’s List coupon price because I had used them previously and the work that I wanted to be done would cost over $200.00. I did review the coupon terms and it does not denote NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY! Just mentions it cannot be applied to current or past jobs. I only used the vendor once in 2018. The vendor refused to do the work, even after I advised that the coupon does not state “New Customers Only!” If you are looking to have repeat business it would make sense to honor the coupon, do a good job so I would become a regular customer. My assessment it shows a lack of integrity as a business not to honor the coupon. The Customer is always right is the motto they should adopt! Then was no communication follow-up to confirm the date and then arriving late. All in all, a bad day for the customer and vendor.
