The $99 duct cleaning special doesn’t actually exist. If you don’t agree to the unnecessary upcharges, they will not honor the special and will not clean the vents. Go with another company that’s not predatory.

I had service done by Sears Carpet Cleaning & Air Duct Cleaning of Washington DC and one of my service guy was Benard. He was very thorough and explained to me what all needed to be done. He did explained to me what the deal i initially signed up for which was the $99 deal will include but also educated me on my entire system. I decided to move forward with his recommendation which was the $900 which included HVAC=Coil +Blower +Santization of system ( which i smelled when applied) +19 Vents( including returns and cleaning the return covers) and the dryer service. They also put in my new filters i bought for me too.. the price was discounted so $900 is what I paid out the door. For me as I just bought my home a year ago and the house was a level 2 cleaning i wasn’t sure if and when it was last done. Overall, like others stated the price was a shocker at first but now I have REALLY clean air and I can tell the difference now versus before. To me it was worth it. Now I don’t have to get it clean for another 3-6 years. Thnx Sears.

I was quoted a price of $259 on a “Special.” When they came, they first called it a “quote” – which I didn’t need since I made them reconfirm their price twice. Then they insisted that they could not clean my vents unless I paid $899 to clean my A/C system! I refused that service so they did nothing and left. Biggest scam that I have seen in a long while. No wonder they are going out of business!!

They tried to scam me. Said it was going to be $99 for ten ducts to be cleaned. Guy walks in says “ you have twelve ducts, it’s $700”. I said just do ten, he said “ no price is $700.” I refused, and he left. Going to try someone else.

Jumped at the opportunity for their duct cleaning special. My vent was removed and never replaced. It’s no where in the house…and I am told they’re not responsible!?!?! The vent was there before they came and is now just gone. Magic?

My husband scheduled a appointment the wait time was 8 to 12 no phone call until 12.30 when he already left out bad business poor customer service.Looking for another company to clean our air ducts

We have a rather small house and they said they’d clean 10 vents for $100. Well.. they lied. They showed up and said it was going to be $1000 for 10 vents?? Absolutely not. Find a different company that doesn’t lie.

I been posting reviews for years but it saddens me to have to post this one. I’ve used Sears Airduct cleaning Services before. This time when tech came out he recounted my vents in. My home and told me I had 17 vents. I explained to him Know how many vents are in My home. That I had 14 vents but if he wanted to count the return I had 15. After he recounted he adjusted to price for 20 dollars extra as stated online. He then called me to my basement to tell me that my air coil cleaning and fan blower needed cleaning. I explained to him that I had just had my system installed and that there was no dust on my system. He wanted to show me pictures from another job that it was dirty. I gave him a look and asked him how much h3 said 975 dollars. On top of air duct cleaning. I said I don’t need this cuz my system was brand new this Oct. That can you please just do the airduct cleaning. That Sears has never tried in past to add services I didn’t want done. Tech told me he would not preform any work unless I agreed to pay the extra cost. I got upset and told him It was disappointing that he trying to up sell products I don’t need and that this looks bad on Sears. He shrugged his shoulders and told me he was leaving. I called Sears and what they told me is they have no control over there techs and that they are independent. So I’m sad because I’m having to tell people to stay away from this company. After so many years. Later I found out that Sears brand was bought by another company so this is not actually Sears. So customers stay away. You have been warned.
