The tech was very nice, nothing against him as a person, but we have fairly new carpet that isn’t in bad shape (only a few years old) but we had a few pet stains over a weekend in one room. We decided to have the whole house cleaned and opted for the Pet bio service from Zerorez. The tech came out with a blacklight – same as the one that we purchased to see where the smell was coming from and found the same several spots. He said that it would be $55 per spot (there were 4) on top of the regular cleaning and the extra bio pet waste fee we paid… we said that would be fine because we did not want the smell to linger. After he was done, everything smelled like oranges and it was hard to tell – we left the room and came back in tomorrow to the exact same smell. I closed the curtains and used the blacklight again and sure enough, all of the same spots we paid for were still plainly visible with the black light. We had to get some enzyme cleaner which removed the spots so they don’t show up under the black light and that got rid of the majority of the smell. We wanted to pull up the enzyme cleaner so we bought a carpet cleaner and found that it was pulling up a ton of dirty water still 2 days after the cleaners had left with no traffic in the room. We ended up cleaning a few other rooms with just water and was shocked at how much dirt was coming up for just being cleaned. Bottom line, we paid $600 to make our carpets wet and then had to go buy other things to deal with the issues. I can’t recommend zerorez if you have a pet or if you are looking to do any actual cleaning.
