I usually don’t do reviews, but I had to come on here and give SHR a five star review. From our very first meeting to explain what projects we wanted done, to the finished product- we couldn’t have been happier. Professional, personable, and knowledgable every step of the way. We started with a complete bathroom remodel, a new shower and some exterior work on our windows and front door. Along the way, they were flexible as I added on some other items. I can imagine they had other clients with larger projects, but they never made us feel like we weren’t a priority. I highly recommend working with SHR!

We love our kitchen and new bathrooms. We used SRH for a kitchen refresh (new flooring, counters, lighting) / remodel (one wall back to studs, one short wall removed and laminated beam installed). We also changed the first floor primary bath to a powder room and took some of that space plus a small second bedroom as a laundry room and on suite primary bath. We have an old home (1935) so of course we encountered interesting challenges when we opened the walls. SHR kept us informed and got the right contractors in to solve problems right away. Speaking of contractors, they have the best! We loved working with everyone they brought into our home and will use many of them for ongoing maintenance needs. Our designer Karly was with us every step of the way. She presented multiple options during the design phase and worked with us as we made selections. She was also onsite throughout the process to make recommendations regarding grout color, fixture placement and final paint and wallpaper selections. We worked with Tom as our project manager – he’s one of the owners and stepped in mid-way due to some staffing changes. He didn’t miss a beat and was up to speed immediately. Very caring and conscientious company. We’ll be using SHR for a future second floor remodel project. Highly recommend!

Jack, Tom and their team did a very good job with our complicated kitchen remodel. We had walls knocked out and even removed an unused chimney in our Victorian house to make more room for cabinets. They are responsive to individual needs during the process, and our kitchen has withstood the wear and tear all kitchens undergo in the time that has passed since completion. It’s a huge improvement from the dark, poorly laid out kitchen we had before. Thanks Jack and Tom!

We worked with Story Hill on a full kitchen renovation. The Story Hill team is professional, committed, and client-focused. Jack and Tom, the owners, are interested and involved in the project from the very beginning. We really enjoyed working with the designer, Maggie. She was attentive and able to guide us through the decision-making process so that the finished product matched the wishes and ideas we set out from the beginning. The project manager, Dave, and all of the trade partners were professional and respectful. We never felt unwelcome in our own home, regardless of who was at work. Some unforeseen challenges from a previous renovation were handled expertly without adding much time to the project. Thanks Story Hill!

We had a wonderful experience with Story Hill for our kitchen overhaul. In the design phase, they had innovative ideas for some odd spaces we had and helped create a space that was not only gorgeous but very functional. During the construction phase, the best part was their communication and how well they stuck to a pre-arranged schedule. They did not start the project until they knew all their contractors (plumbing, electric, etc) were in place and we knew what to expect every step of the way. We never once wondered when work would happen. If you value clear communication and creative design, this is the company for you!
