**Edison has multiple lawsuits against if for breach of contract. I have posted screenshots of photos Edison posts on Google, Instagram, and their own website. On the right, a Google image search reveals the photos are stock and used EVERYWHERE on the Internet and not their own work at all! They have taken some of them down from their website as we are pursuing legal claims for fraud, but they still display them on Google and Insta. They present as reputable and professional on their website and in person, but they don’t perform any of the work! Instead they sell the entire job out to the lowest bidder and provide zero assistance when things go awry! This is a marketing company, plain and simple. UPDATE: The owner of this business is as dishonest as they come. Save yourself the grief. The lack of integrity in someone who holds a state license and would presumably abide by some code of ethics and the regulations is astonishing. According to him, he’s broke and can’t give us back the money he collected for work he never completed. All while posting photos of himself online traveling the world first class and on luxury shopping sprees. Disgraceful. If you want to be taken for a ride, call this guy. And please, check for yourself. Edison had its website filled with stock photos of gorgeous homes, claiming it was their work. We are suing them for misrepresentation/fraud, and they have now removed the fake photos! This company is as dishonest as they come. Ask him if he ever took the state licensing exam to become a general contractor. In California, you can have another contractor essentially vouch for you, saying you worked with them hands-on for at least 5 years, and voila, you’re issued a license of your own! I’d hate to see another homeowner discover this on their own after spending their hard-earned money on a remodel they have been planning and looking forward to, only to have the work be subpar, workers not showing up, and going through the same nightmare we have and are still enduring. Month 16 of what should have been a 6-month renovation. The photos posted on their website are NOT their work! Please do a Google searach of the images. We hired them after seeing their high-end work. They were not capable of our project and it has been disastrous. Virtually no project management and incorrect accounting. Mismanagement of funds, constant mistakes, no supervision, workers just not showing up. At one point, we had an abandoned site. Edison demanded a balloon payment for work that had not been performed yet to return . Foolishly I paid it, desperate to have my family’s house completed and a working kitchen. Six months later, they STILL have not completed the work we paid them for! They informed us that they simply didn’t want to install our kitchen cabinets and countertops! Fearful of what quality we would get if we had them do it, we hired subs and deducted the cost from their total. Now they still want to be paid for that work! They’ve gouged our brand new floors and refuse to take responsibility. The painter they sent was one old man with a paint brush and step stool. He sprayed over masking tape and nail holes and then told us after two days he wasn’t being paid enough and walked off the job, leaving us with a bizarre mess on our walls. That was MONTHS ago! We begged the GC, the owner of the company, to come to our house for six months! He flatly refused. He finally came out in December and has been argumentative. Shameful. Edison has regularly left our home wide open when they leave for the day, sliders wide open, windows wide open. To say this has been a nightmare is an understatement. One of the most egregious things is the photos they are taking credit for on their website, on Insta and Yelp. These are NOT their projects. Please do not be fooled. This has been the worst mistake of our lives.

Just finished a kitchen model with Edison Home Improvement I was extremely happy and satisfied with their customer service. Project was completed on time as promised and the crew was very professional at all times. I got full support and help with selecting the materials and the schedule of the project was always very clear. The crew was always polite to me and my wife we really enjoyed working with Edison Home Improvement and would gladly recommend them for anyone that would like a good kitchen remodel experience.

I do not recommend this company to anyone. After interviewing several general contractors, I hired Edison to remodel my condo in 2023. One month prior to the remodel there was a walk-through with the project manager and foreman where we went over the work order. In addition, I prepared detailed room-by-room instructions in English and gave them to the project manager. After sticking around for ten days to make sure things were going OK, I went on vacation for 5 weeks while they worked, staying in communication the whole time. When I returned, I found more than a dozen failures to follow my instructions, some of them major. The worst was that the wrong paint colors were used. My interior trim was painted an ugly pink/beige hue using a “custom color manual match” that was never cleared with me per the contract and completely ignored my written painting instructions. When I saw the project manager after returning, he insisted that I was the one who had chosen the paint colors. I had to show him the labels on the cans which proved otherwise. The mistakes made by the crew appeared to be due to a lack of communication between the project manager, who didn’t seem to be around the jobsite very much, and his workers, who didn’t speak English. It also appeared to me that the project manager was working other jobs for Edison at the same time, although he denied this. On top of all that, the workers destroyed my 30-year-old powder room vanity cabinet in the process of removing its tile countertop. I chose to do this after touring an identical condo for sale near mine that had all four of its tile countertops replaced over these same cabinets. In a hurry to finish on time, Edison offered to build me a new cabinet “just like it” in a day. I knew this was impossible because I had looked for cabinets like mine for years; they were built-to-order custom cabinets with hinges that were no longer made. Instead, I ordered a new vanity cabinet at my expense, resulting in a project delay they blamed on me. As compensation for my complaints about the paint, etc., the project manager agreed to take a slightly smaller final payment in exchange for having the workers come back and “finish everything”. I made the final payment in advance of the work as they required, which brought the total of payments to nearly $150,000. Simply outrageous for a 2 BR condo considering I didn’t remodel the tub or shower. Now, six months later, the promise to “finish everything” has amounted to installing just the new cabinet and countertop, and leaving the remaining plumbing, electrical, baseboards, and painting to me. This along with the multiple other items in the work order they never addressed in the first place, and electrical problems they created that I will have to hire someone to fix. This is not a five-star company. They charge you in advance, and good luck getting them to do the work you paid for. They do not deserve your money or your trust.

Mike Galante, Avi, Danielle, Alex are the names of all we have dealt with at this company. They have robbed our family of our home for 17 months now, on a full home remodel that was slated to only take 3-6 months. Instead of completing our project, they have provided us a revolving door of project managers that were terrible at doing their jobs. Edison has NO actual contractors employed from what we have seen. Instead, they farm out jobs to other contractors that have terrible reviews themselves, and then string you out and eventually stop showing up. In our case, they hired Premier Home Remodeling as a General Contractor, and then accepted no responsibility for mistakes, errors, delays, or shotty workmanship. They blame Premier, and Premier claims they are not the General. Shady, shady, shady. Mike Galante and his team took our contract, shopped it to a cheap service for $130,000 and then marked the contract up by 120% to $286,000. They then unilaterally changed the contract by refusing to install the cabinets or counters and have abandoned our property with no working bathrooms or kitchen. For 17 months. We discovered that the owner, Mike, was on vacation and touring the world first class on our dime. He posts his wonderful life all over Instagram and Facebook and flaunts his first class travels while not addressing our concerns or our contract, and is now forcing us into litigation to get them to complete their contract. Edison is a criminal enterprise in my opinion. My wife has discovered that almost every photo they have watermarked with Edison logos on their website and social media are fraudulently lifted from other websites like Home Depot, Lowes, and tile companies, and then represented as their product, even going as far as providing customer comments on these photos. Shady, shady, shady. I suggest that you avoid this company. They are currently being investigated by the DA in San Diego for Fraud. They have charged us and collected money from us for many items that have never been completed.
