I had a plan and after meeting and sharing my plan with John he went to work. After seeing his 3D drawing, I knew made the right decision. He gave the time frame, expectations, and communicated the next steps. His scheduling was perfect. I always knew what was going to happen before it happened. The subs he uses are amazing and do really GREAT work. I have never had a contractor use the Progress Payments, I truly believe it is the best because you pay as the project happens. I am very happy with the result and Tradition is the way to go.

I recently reached out to John regarding his help in providing a new Epoxy floor in our garage. I also was looking to do some improvements to our driveway. I had such a great experience on our Pergola project, I knew that Tradition Outdoor Living would be a great partner on this as well. Turns out I was right! John quickly responded and came out to offer suggestions and get his team scheduled to do the floor. His crew was awesome and easy to work with. They finished the project on time and even fixed a problem with the door! I am so happy with how everything looks. I shouldn’t have been surprised as we love the addition to our home. Our patio has become a fun place to entertain family and friends! We have had so many great compliments on the new outdoor space. John and the Tradition Outdoor Living staff are dependable, so helpful and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend giving them a call for your outdoor projects.

We are so glad we chose Tradition Outdoor Living for our outdoor project! After spending months getting quotes from contractors who turned out to be unreliable, we saw an ad for Tradition Outdoor Living and gave them a call. John P. was the project manager who came over to our house to discuss our project and we felt very comfortable selecting them for the job. We had our outdoor covered patio more than doubled in size and also put in an outdoor kitchen. We love it! John was really great to work with and we’re so happy with the end product.

I’ve had two projects done by Tradition two years apart from each other. The first was an outdoor kitchen that was amazing and everything we envisioned. The second one was a pretty challenging one where our Media room was reconfigured and expanded into our attic – a lot of items had to be redone to make this happen. Both projects went very smoothly. On the kitchen, when our wine fridge was installed – it trapped a rabbit behind it that ended up chewing through cords. They replaced the unit no questions asked. Love this company – one of the few great experiences I’ve had – I always feel I’m getting taken advantage of or lied to. Not Tradition – high integrity and treating you how they would want to be treated is what I observed. Best of all they were right in the middle of all the quotes I got for both projects – not the cheapest but far from the most expensive!

I have come to appreciate their attention to detail and getting the job done right as John Petry has completed several projects on my property. Each project exceeded my expectations. John runs the operation here in DFW, and he has proven himself to be a man of integrity and professionalism. He actually cares about his clients, which is a rare quality in our “good-is-done” culture. For John and Tradition Outdoor Living, the project isn’t “good” until it’s done right, And “right” means the project is completed to the satisfaction of the customer. John was the ultimate contractor!! From the very first introduction of the detailed project to the very last finish checklist. Always on time with detailed updates for when and how the project will proceed with the various electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, etc. 5 stars can easily be a 10 star project. We just love our new outdoor living area!! Would highly recommend John and Tradition Outdoor Living .

Our patio extension with traditional outdoor living has been a great experience. They were very methodical about everything from planning to framing to roofing to installing the electronics to painting. Working with John was a great experience. His level of expertise in this field really paid off for us. If there was something that we did not like or agree on, he made changes. We would recommend traditional outdoor living to anyone looking to expand their patio. Looking forward to a lot of fun with the family on our new patio. Extremely satisfied.
