Same reviews all subcontractors leave! They leave you high & dry, no payments. They try to renegotiate contracts AFTER you’ve completed the work. Absolutely no honesty or consciousness!

Did a Harbor Fright in Jacksonville and has been about 120 days and can’t even get paid by them nor have someone answer the phone. Poor business

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL NOT BE PAID! MULTIPLE CONTRACTORS OUT 10S OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. THEY DID NOT PAY HVAC, PLUMBERS, OR ELECTRICIANS. NOW 120 DAYS PAST DUE!

I worked here briefly. They were terrible to both their employees and subcontractors. They attempt to get you to work 100 hours a week on salary. On the several projects I worked on not a single subcontractor was ever paid. They would constantly hire the lowest priced subs and companies that hadn’t worked for them so they could exploit them. On the last project I worked on all the subs banded together to sue them collectively. The only company I heard they paid was a small family painting business and made them agree to just over half what they were owed. The turn over rate was insane. One of the worse GC’s I’ve ever experienced. DON’T WORK FOR THIS COMPANY AS YOU PROBABLY WON’T GET PAID.

Similar situation as other subcontractors. Reduced our payment by 10% or stated we may not receive payment at all. Stated they lost too much money on job. Harbor Freight is still contracting with them so they are not doing due diligence on their contractors. Worked for Storecrafters out of New York. Completely positive situation. You can see they are soliciting customer satisfaction to counteract the low scores they receive with subs.

Crooks! We completed two retail projects in 2018-2019, We had a very difficult time collecting payment. They do not pay Subcontractors the full amount on contracts and they will not pay change orders. They do not respect the terms on the contract agreement. They will get as much work as they can from you for free! We had to hire a lawyer and file a lien. We discovered they had been paid 100% by the owner of the retail store and Heartland kept the money, instead of making payments and paying balances due to subcontractors. The only way you will get paid is to file LIENS, make sure to file them on time, or you will loose your money! FILE LIENS!

Still owed over 39k on an LBrands job these guys promised to pay in monthly payments with lawyers and all bs… haven’t seen a dime. Second time working with them, second time being screwed. Do not work for Jim. Even Patty quit because she said they were a scam. So since I won’t see any money from them, will let you know don’t work with them period. I’m a subcontractor in business since 2002, and this is the Gc to avoid. Half of their reviews are fake -5 star reviews.

We installed flooring at 2 of their projects in 2018 and still haven’t been paid upwards of $90,000!!! If you are a subcontractor you will not get paid. they are on the verge of bankruptcy
