We’re homeowners in SLC and Salt Lake City Public Works tried to bully us into digging up the city sewer to repair an issue that they claimed is our problem to fix. Our situation is unusual because the city sewer runs under our property and is very deep (18ft) and under a steep slope with difficult access. I called around to more than twenty sewer and excavation companies who refused to even bid on the job because it’s so complex. Then I got Jon Nix on the phone who said he could probably do the dig. But he also took the initiative to fully understand our situation and then helped us avoid the work and the six figure amount it would have cost us. First, he connected us to a trenchless sewer repair expert who was the first person to correctly diagnose the issue as a slipped liner inside the city sewer. He then used his connections at the City to get a crew out who fixed the city sewer using a little sewer robot! After three weeks without working sewer, us talking to tens of experts who couldn’t help, and SLC engineers consistently telling us that we’ll have to dig up our property, Jon got the issue resolved for zero dollars within an afternoon. We really can’t thank Jon enough for helping us out of this terrible situation. (And thanks for nothing to the SLC Public Works Department.)

CH Nix Construction is run by two of the most hard-working, honest, and integrity-driven individuals. They give 110% in their work, they take amazing care of their employees, and they run a fair business. They strive to continue doing the best work they can, while continuously improving their business. This company is a top-notch company. Definitely hire them to do work for you!

I worked here for a month and it is a terrible work environment, the supervisors or Forman wouldn’t show you what to do your pretty much on your own and hope you can make it through. I will never recommend working here they may seem nice but they treat you terribly
