West Village must be one of if not the best contractor in New York. I hired them to complete a total renovation of my apartment after a building-wide flood and received my home better than it was before the water damage. Throughout the project the team had multiple touch points with us including a weekly video call to discuss progress & next steps and weekly summaries of work completed. They were thoughtful in sourcing materials and provided excellent recommendationss as we considered modifications throughout the space. The work was completed not only ahead of schedule, but also within budget, which was crucial given this was an insurance claim. The quality of the work exceeded expectations and the positive attitude of the team made the entire process stress-free. Any future construction projects I need will be awarded to them!

We used West Village to reconstruct our apt due to flood damage. If one is unfortunate as I was, look no where but West Village. They are a class act; Our apt was brought back to even better shape within budget and on time. Everyone in the team took pride in their work and the process was clearly defined and executed within scope as originally planned.

The professionalism and communication was nothing like we’ve ever experienced with any other business. From the initial meeting, they described the process for planning and execution of the work, the communication process (which was a weekly video call), and educated us on local requirements and regulations. The quality of their work was excellent. They conducted thorough research to address things that we wanted to include and made recommendations that worked well. The level of professionalism was superior. During the weekly call, we reviewed the status and scope of the work, any outstanding issues, and the status of the budget. When we added to the scope of work, each modification was clearly described, costs were analyzed and documented, and were sent to us for electronic approval in a seamless manner. We were so grateful for the opportunity to work with this amazing team, and were delighted with the final outcome. We HIGHLY recommend West Village General Contracting!

As a UK based Interior designer I relied on West Village General Contracting to run and oversee my Hudsons Yard project in my absence. Working with WVGC was one of the best experiences we have had with a contractor. Following a horrific 2 year nightmare with a previous designer and her incompetent team of contractors who had botched our remodel, it was not easy to find another contractor who would be willing and available to come in and repair someone else’s work…especially a contractor we could trust. James and his team at WVGC were not only willing to help, make time for us immediately… they exceeded all of our expectations. They were absolutely lovely from start to finish. With Emily coordinating the project and Leszek helming at the job site. The most professional, knowledgeable and collaborative team I have encountered. Emily kept us informed throughout, was consistently helpful, kind, respectful and attentive. Communication was top notch. We never felt forgotten. There were never any surprises. Night & day from our prior experience. They did a gorgeous job and astonishingly completed within the timeframe promised from day one.
