I OWN A FENCE COMPANY AND I WORKED THEM ON A LARGE JOB. Wonderful PEOPLE, EXCELLENT CRAFTSMANSHIP, AND SIMPLY A REWARDING EXPERIENCE. This COMPANY TREATS EACH JOB AS IF IT WAS BEING BUILT FOR THEIR GRANDPARENTS. I SHOULD KNOW BECAUSE THAT’S MY STYLE!

Michael and his whole team were phenomenal! My house flooded two days before I was scheduled for massive surgery. They were on site first thing the next morning (Wednesday) and had everything cut by the time I came home from surgery Thursday. They were quick and efficient and did a fantastic job. The painters would even stop what they were doing to assist me when I was hobbling around on crutches. I will forever go to Paschall for any future needs.

I would love nothing more than to give Paschall Construction five stars, but unfortunately, I can’t. My 83-year-old parent’s house had nearly 5 feet of water during Hurricane Harvey. Paschall was recommended as a friend of a friend for remediation work. We met them at my parent’s house and they agreed to do the remediation and work with the insurance company on payment. At that time, they mentioned that they also did rebuilds, and we couldn’t have been happier. We felt that there was value in having a friend of a friend situation, so we agreed to an estimate of $190,000 for the rebuild which was $50,000 over then next estimate, but again, we felt there was great value in having a friend of a friend as a contractor. $190,000 to rebuild a 2400 sq. foot house was more than enough and was $70,000 more than insurance was willing to pay. We were paying for quality work. Or so we thought. It was a long and slow process with a lot of stops and starts even though we always paid on time. In fact, Paschall even bounced a check to my parents after my parents signed over an insurance payment that exceeded the draw. When we finally got another check from Paschall, my parents had to eat the bounced check charge. Paschall over committed on several things, but I was willing to overlook some minor quality issues like paint runs. I gave them a list of fixtures and fittings that were within the budget, but somehow we ended up with Wal-Mart quality fixtures. They gave me a $300 change order to add cabinet hardware in the bathrooms and then used hardware that I found at Wal-Mart for less than a dollar a pull. Again, I just let it go because I wanted to get my elderly, handicapped parents out of the apartment they were living in and back into their home. Once my parents were ready to move in, we gave them a list of outstanding things including electric outlets that didn’t work, seams in the ceiling were showing, floor was coming apart in places and there was a big hole in the ceiling of the laundry room around the water heater vent and a door literally fell off the hinges. I didn’t hear back from our project manager, so I sent an email to the owner. The owner never got back to me, but the project manager, who is his son, sent their handyman to fix a couple of the outlets. The guy told my parents the ceiling would have to be replaced. That was in September of 2018. They blamed the flooring on the manufacture and eventually someone from the manufacture came out and deemed it an install issue. Last week, my mother, who uses a walker, hit one of spots where the floor is coming apart and she fell. I’ve been really patient with this process. But I can no long sit back and continue to feel like my parents were taken advantage of and that Paschall doesn’t stand behind their work. We have seams in the ceiling coming apart, holes in the ceiling of the laundry room, flooring that is literally coming apart in every room, outlets that still don’t all work, a door that fell off the hinge and too many little details to list. It’s disappointing. And now it’s a safety issue.
