Darius and Rocket provided exceptional service and did a great job framing and finishing out a basement space including framing, installing soundproofing hangers and green glue, insulation, drywall, electrical, low voltage and painting!

As an out-of-state real estate investor, I primarily communicated my renovation requirements to Ben. He not only executed the project exactly how I envisioned it but also completed it more quickly than anticipated. The quality of work was excellent, and his team was exceptionally friendly, specifically Amy. I look forward to hiring them again for future property investments.

Darius was absolutely incredible with all my electrical and plumbing needs with my 1923 home. It actually sold soon after! He was a great communicator, worked diligently to complete the multiple tasks and completed challenging outdated floor plans. He saved my sanity with his expertise! I was so happy with our experience with Modern Touch. We have had bad experiences in the past, so always a little leery. We had two bathrooms completely remodeled due to water damage. The whole experience was first class from the estimating, professionalism, work product, value and most of all business ethics. I can’t tell you how refreshing it was to find a contractor that I built trust with. Well done Modern Touch. We will definately be using you again!

******UPDATE- Now they are threatening to keep my deposit unless I take down this review. ****** Initially I was optimistic about working with Modern Touch based on positive reviews and a seemingly attentive salesperson. The salesperson I dealt with mentioned more work needing to be done than any other contractor that quoted the project, but at the time I felt like the salesperson had my best interests in mind. I received a quick quote and paid the deposit shortly there after, as I had a timeline I was hoping to achieve. I had some leg work on my end to look into, and the salesperson had some on their end as well. However, as soon as I paid the deposit, the communication became scarce as to specifics and any help that had been promised with a specific change they wanted to make to the niches. Finally, the week before they were supposed to start, I reached out and inquired if they’d be able to procure the supplies before the project started, as I hadn’t heard anything about this. I ended up purchasing all the materials myself to begin the project to ensure the start time. Then, I asked for an updated quote by the end of the week to reflect what I’d purchased and to update items on the second part of the project. I was told I’d receive it by the end of the week, but that didn’t happen. I emailed at the end of the day to express that I was disappointed I hadn’t received the updated quote and that there hadn’t been any recent communication regarding the timeline and how many days I’d need to be off work to complete the first part of the project. Prior, they had just said a few days. The salesperson then got upset and canceled the entire project. Disappointingly, Modern Touch failed to deliver on their initial promise of quality service and left me feeling utterly let down by their lack of communication and accountability. Let’s touch on the comment below by MTC- You came out and quickly quoted the project initially. The salesperson (Ben) asked for me to check at 2 places to find tile for niches, as he did not like the smaller tile I had in there. He sent a couple pictures and I explained I didn’t like the look of what he’d sent. He then stated he would take the information about my tile and find something from that manufacture that would work. Time started to run out and we were to begin in less than a week, so I reached out about supplies. Ben said he had some options sitting at the two supply stores he suggested. I went to both stores, and no one knew what I was talking about. He had nothing set aside and hadn’t spoke to anyone about the project. So, I picked up the supplies myself and asked him to re-quote the job. He promised he would by Friday and that came and went. So Friday I let him know we could not proceed on Monday without an updated quote. The whole thing just felt very unorganized. Ben said if we didn’t start Monday it would be several weeks out. I commented back to him that all I needed was the quote he promised and a timeline. He then cancelled the project. Shortly after I typed this review, a barrage of texts came late in the evening threatening to keep my deposit unless I took down the post. I explained to Ben that he could threaten all he wanted, but he cancelled the project and the individual who put the deposit down was a lawyer. You’re making it sound like the deposit wasn’t authorized by that person. The money came from my other half. I just happened to be the one that signed the paperwork. Do you try and bully everyone that has a poor experience and leaves a negative review? I feel like I should also mention that in the last year I have worked with several other contractors to replace a roof, replace siding and gutters, replace all doors and windows, replace flooring, replace a garage door, bury electrical lines, etc… This is the ONLY time I’ve felt compelled to write a negative review.

Excellent Experience! The entire team at Modern Touch focuses on over-delivering in each of their specialties crafts. They transformed a VERY difficult attic area into an amazing additional space for upstairs laundry room/master bedroom suite extension. They were able to turn the difficult attic space, constrained by the roof support rafter system, into a unique and interesting intersection of walls & ceilings. Our house is almost 35 years old and needs updating, we will continue to have them back for further work, as the addition definitely added a ‘Modern Touch’ to our space. They are smart and detailed electricians, plumbers, framers, dry-wallers, and finishers. They are respectful, awesome communicators, family owned and honest. Its hard to find contractors with such good reviews, but after having them complete the work, I understand why they have so many 5 star reviews, and all very positive. Make sure you contact them and give them your next project!

We hired MTC for a remodel project. We bought an older home a few years ago and the floorplan of the house wasn’t appealing. In order to go from our living room to dining room you had to walk through an open laundry room. As you can imagine, this could be embarrassing at times with company over. So we had an idea to turn that laundry room into a half bathroom and move the laundry room over to another room where our furnace and water heater are located. MTC was able to build out our idea and we love it! From plumbing, electrical work, flooring, framing, drywall, etc. they did a wonderful job. They communicated with us everyday, ensuring we were getting what wanted. They were trustworthy as well. With a project like this we couldn’t be home all the time, so it was nice to be able to trust them in our home. And they were great with our dog, who was always curious what they were up to. I can’t say enough positive things about this company and their crew. I will always recommend them to anyone needing work done around their house. And they will forever be our contractors.

The team at Modern Touch Contracting are outstanding! Highly responsive from the start to the finish of the project with an intense focus on quality. They helped with the design of the project, educated me on all of the details, and managed the entire process wonderfully. Additionally, I live in a historic neighborhood and Adam went above and beyond to get the design through the Indianapolis Historical Preservation Committee (IHPC). If you want your project done right, MTC is for you. I fully intend to hire them again on the next project.
