Our challenge was a small interior kitchen with little natural light, very little counter space and poorly designed storage options. Jim and Sara listened to what we wanted and came up with several very creative solutions. They were patient throughout our angst of getting things just right – configuration, color, material, lighting and every detail we could imagine. We now have a wonderful view out to the yard, lots of counter space and lots of thoughtful storage for everything. John, and Ed managed the entire installation process and always kept us informed of the schedule. Everyone who worked in our home – Henry, Daniel, Greg – were always on time, did meticulous work and cleaned up at the end of the day. Our house was treated as a home, not a workshop. Every step was properly managed and, well communicated. We have not one negative remark for the entire process. This is an amazing team and we can’t thank them enough for their efforts. Our next project is the master bathroom, and we won’t even consider calling anyone except Holland Kitchens.

If you are looking to re-do your kitchen or start from scratch then I highly recommend Jim and his team! We ripped apart our old kitchen and started from scratch and completely built something new and modern. Jim helped us make our dream kitchen come to life. He seriously is organized, talented and extremely professional to work with. He helped us through every step of the way and was realistic with everything we were looking to do. He’s really great at what he does. We love our kitchen and the final outcome. Thank you so much Jim!

Very pleased with the work Jim and his team did on our kitchen remodel. The scope and contracting process was so detailed and thoughtful that once we signed the contract and work started, there were no surprises. We knew exactly what would happen and when. Also, Jim and his team helped me with layout, type of appliances that would work best, etc. This was my first remodel, so it was so important to find a partner and someone who would work with me and get into the details. The entire project stayed on budget and on-time. They were also VERY respectful of our home. So much so, that the appliance delivery company scratched our just finished wood floors and Jim and his team fixed the scratched at no charge – even though they didn’t even do it. We plan to redo our bathrooms in the future and they will be my go-to. This kitchen remodel was seriously stress free. Jim and his team just made it easy. Highly recommend them!!

Very expensive. We dropped in without an appointment. However we were the only ones there. The designer was polite. There was no formal place to sit and discuss our plans. The designer did not prepare a mock-up for us. When she came back with an estimate, her price for the same Fabuwood cabinets sold by other local stores was well over $1,000 more than their competitors. It did appear that their main focus is custom cabinets.

My wife and I recently purchased and installed Wood Mode / Brookhaven cabinets from Holland Kitchens in West Hartford. We are extremely pleased with the results of our kitchen project and quality of the finished product. We researched several local cabinet makers and national manufacturers, however, the day we walked into the West Hartford showroom and met with Jim Corthouts, we knew we were at the right place. Our search was over. Both Jim and John Chouinard paid attention to all details, measured and coordinated with contractors to keep the project on track and on schedule. Henry Dechamps, the cabinet installer, is truly a master craftsman. Everyone who was contracted by Holland Kitchens did an excellent job and all were very friendly and professional to deal with. Our finished kitchen met and exceeded all our expectations. Thank you Holland Kitchens! We can now truly say we have a dream kitchen! Jose and Giulia

Holland Kitchens designed the kitchen of my dreams! We were so impressed with Jim’s knowledge and expertise! His attention to detail was awesome and gave us so many wonderful ideas. My friends and family are just so impressed with what they were able to accomplish with our space. Everything went so smoothly and the quality is outstanding. You couldn’t find a better kitchen designer in the Greater Hartford area!
