All the workers went out of their way to explain things to me . Also did other things for me not part of job. Very thankful. House looks great. We did a lot of diffferent things from pipes breaking. Very thankful for all the different people who put it back together. Ardy

We had Home Improvements by Doug remove our old pergola and add a new outdoor kitchen. The remodel was extensive and we are absolutely thrilled with it! Karen, Doug’s wife, is amazing with design and they make a great team. The outdoor kitchen has become another living area that we use all the time! My first meeting scheduled with Doug, he no-call, no-showed. My second scheduled meeting with Doug (4/15/24) we discussed a bathroom remodel. He told me his wife, Karen (befitting), would be by the next day to take measurements and make drawings. After not hearing from Karen, I called her myself and received a very snippy retort about her not being available until the following week; I said no problem, her husband had set the expectation, not me. They came by to get what they needed and told me they would have everything back to me by the end of the week. Friday comes and I have not heard from them. I call, but they never answer, so I left yet another voicemail; to which I received a text back saying they would have it all to me early this week. Fast forward to now, Wednesday (5/1/24), and I call both Doug and Karen. No answer. I text Karen asking for an update on a bid. About an hour later I received a clearly copy-and-pasted bathroom bid that is in no way specific to my project with a total cost of more than double what Doug and I discussed at our first meeting. They have wasted 2.5 weeks of my time. So, I wasted a little bit more of it to write them an honest review.

Unfortunately this review is based solely on customer service. I called and left a message for getting a quote on multiple projects needed around our home. Was called back in a reasonable time and scheduled an appointment for the same day! Awesome! 10 minutes AFTER my appointment time had already passed, I got a call asking if it was a mobile home because their insurance doesn’t let them work on those. I said yes and got “oh, okay” click… wow. Spent my afternoon waiting on a company that was never going to help me in the first place. We had outdoor projects that still could have been completed by this company but I guess my money isn’t worth the time.

Doug performed a total remodel of our house. We are very pleased. He and Karen worked extremely hard to get what we wanted and they added great suggestions throughout the process. It turned out even better than we had hoped for.

The design and layout is extremely functional, the crew were awesome ,and the quality of work was great. However they were not transparent or communicative about the budget despite our regular questions about it.

Improvements by Doug added a covered patio to our home and did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend his business for any remodeling needs. He was very diligent on checking in on the progress of his workers and keep us update. He listened to what we wanted and provided a high quality product that we will enjoy for years.

I called and got an appointment for an estimate, he did not show. Thought it might have been a miscommunication, so I emailed them. He called me really quick and said he possibly could come the next day. Never showed so I called him back the next week, he said he was busy & would call back… no word. Total time trying to contact about a month. Maybe they are just too busy??
