Terrible work! I will post pictures. Cut all the way through a rafter to run a vent! Cut a hole in My roof and tried to seal it with tape and silicone! They will probably take the pictures down, but please do not use any of there different llc’s they operate.

I write this review as someone who has worked there and knows the work and business practices of one Jim Akers. It is my opinion that the quality of the work provided there is mediocre at best. The man running the company hasn’t got a clue. He guesses at his bids and how he does things. I have witnessed more than once how he passes on extra expenses to the customer when he should have caught the problems to begin with and they should have been expected. His business character is shady. If you are considering a job with either Akers home improvement or April’s country air I would reconsider. The promise of fourty hour weeks is given, but rarely ever obtained. Many good employees have gone broke working there. Your luck is better with the heating and cooling side. He also pays 70% of health insurance. Without a full weeks check it’s awfully crippling to pay. If you have dealings with these companies I caution you to be careful. If I were you, wether to be employed by or considering them to work on your home, run don’t walk away from Jim Akers. My family starves now because of him and his deceitful ways. He’s a liar and horrible business man. He’s been successful because of government contracts. He is not good enough for the private or commercial sector. I have been successful in both those categories and although he has asked my advice he would rarely ever use it. I wish you all the best wether remodeling your home or job searching. It is my opinion that Jim Akers is good for neither of those things.
