Just fantastic! All it took was a quick call and sending some pictures to get a quote within hours for a sump/battery backup replacement and several cracks filled. We did not hesitate to use them over other companies that came out for quotes because Dawn answered all our questions and we could tell they are a long standing business that knows what they are doing. Mark completed the work and it was so clean and detailed, we couldn’t be happier. Thank you!

We are so pleased with the service we received from owner Mark Olsen and his team. We just had our basement waterproofed with added drain tiles in several parts of our basement. One area needed a little additional attention and he came back to fix it no questions asked. We were recommended to Mark as doing great work at a honest price. We received exactly that! Called Friday afternoon at 4:30pm was out Saturday morning. Found that the company that did the work originally didn’t do the work correctly.Mark the owner of the of northern Illinois waterproofing repaired the leak in a few short hours. As I watched Mark explained everything he needed to do.

NIW has done multiple crack repairs for us over the years. We have been very happy with their services. They recently installed a new sump pit and pump at our newest home. They are friendly, fair, honest, and they stand behind their work. I would highly recommend them.

Absolutely wonderful experience. We simply needed an old foundation crack re-sealed, it was a minor leak. Got a second opinion after US Waterproofing tried to bleed us with major repair – tearing out landscape, drywall, and air ducts. So glad I found this family run business – came out a day after calling, gave a super reasonable quote that was minimally evasive, and had it all said and done within a week. Great quality of work as there we major rain this week and not a single drop of water in the basement. My wife and I would strongly encourage everyone use this company. If it was possible to give more than 5 stars, we would in a heartbeat.

Phenomenal. Called a bunch of places, these guys were the best. Dawn was amazing and so easy to work with. She was so helpful and patient with all of my inquiries. I discovered water in my finished basement shortly after buying the house (which was marketed as having a dry basement.) I wasn’t sure what to do and after a year of weighing options, went with Northern Illinois Waterproofing. They could have easily taken advantage of my lack of knowledge but instead educated me. They proceeded to fix the water problem at a very affordable price. We have had some heavy rains since they have been out, and there has been no water. I honesty wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Outstanding.

I called for an estimate because our inspector said we needed the side of the house looked at for excessive moisture. The service rep asked many technical questions that I didn’t have the answer to and she told me the side of the house would be wet because it’s been raining. Then she proceeded to laugh at me when I didn’t know the answers to additional questions. I’m not the expert you should be. Super unprofessional! She unmistakably laughed at me on the phone. How absurd!

Poor service at outrageous price! I would not recommend you to work with Northern Illinois Waterproofing as this is the biggest scam in the industry. They charged me heavily and were not even able to fix the problem. All they want is money, money and more money. Their diagnosis was poor and unprofessional and fixed something which was not the root cause of my leaking basement. The problem come back the first rain after the repairs and when I inquired about it, they asked to put in more money to fix something else and the elimination process keeps going. No professional skills and poor service. Thinks twice before you sign up with them.
