This review is atypical in that we ended up not proceeding with the project due to unanticipated circumstances beyond our control, but we worked with C&P through the design phase and they (JR, Lauren, Besim) were attentive, responsive, and wonderful. Besim would have been our project manager and thoughtfully entertained our multiple design pivots and worked to accommodate our many preferences and requests. Their work is beautiful (see their Instagram page) and I’m disappointed we weren’t able to see a completed project … at least for the moment.

We can’t say enough about the C&P team. This was a daunting project for us despite having taken on numerous other large interior design projects. The C&P team were eternally patient and ultimately, their taste, vision and cooperative approach culminated in an absolutely gorgeous end product. Our deck, pool/spa and landscaping are gorgeous. More importantly, I genuinely feel like I could call any member of the C&P team with a concern or question about our project and they would offer me guidance and support. We are grateful and enjoying our space immensely.

Update: Colao & Peter just finish installing my new pool deck and koi pond. They did really amazing work. Ever detail, no matter how trivial, was addressed. When we did our walk-through with them, they found a few small items that I didn’t even notice. Very conscience. Original review: I’ve used several high-end lawn and landscape companies in the past, but Colao & Peter are in a completely different league. Their work is so far beyond what I have experienced in the past, it is no wonder I couldn’t find anything less than five star ratings during my search for a new company. To say their work is outstanding doesn’t do the company justice.

Incredible! This is how we would describe our experience with Calao & Peter. They listened to our ideas and were able to design and build the backyard of our dreams. The attention to detail and perfectionism in each piece of the project was evident. We had constant communication with our design team. From the first call with Lauren to the first design meeting with the team. Dave created a beautiful design. Joe’s unique vision helped us see develop the “Resort Feel” we wanted. The quality of the work is unparalleled. The stonework was just amazing. All the Colao & Peter workers take so much pride in their workmanship and they are also very professional. Finally, our Project Manager Justin was there for us at every turn returning text and calls 24/7. We HIGHLY recommend Calao &Peter! You will NOT be disappointed!!

I was introduced to Coleo and and Peter by a neighbor. Lauren Berk responded to my initial call. Lauren was professional and very knowledgeable. Most importantly, she understood what I was looking for in my landscape. The crew over performed the day of the job! They ended up mulching the whole backyard because they wanted to leave the space looking perfect! I highly recommend this company!

I am a designer in more than one facet and can vouch for the beautiful, expedient, and meticulous work of Colao & Peter. I was hired as a consultant and after my experience felt that it was necessary that I wrote a review! My most notable observation was regarding the relationship that Colao & Peter created between themselves and the client. Everyone at Colao & Peter, regardless of their amount of interaction with client, was excited invested in creating the best experience not only after the project was completed but also during the process.This is something that is not always true of the fields at Colao & Peter reside among. But I found especially impressive was that Colao & Peter were completely invested in their client’s experience. What I mean is that the success of the company is not based on the broken backs of what may be referred to as the most entry-level positions of the company. Rather, the owners: Joe Colao and J.R. Peter, were equally as excited invested and therefore willing to do whatever was to ensure their relationship with the client was one that stood benefit everyone, not only the themselves and the client. This company is what it truly means to be a team. I am excited to have been able to work with them and I look forward to hearing about their successes in the future.

The entire project team was great. The Project Manager assigned really kept us updated as they made progress on our Deck and Patio! The design that they came up with for the entire backyard is perfect! The customization detail really matched the Deck/Patio to the Georgian style of our home!

We had a fantastic experience with Colao & Peter! They do gorgeous work and we couldn’t be happier. We were so impressed with their attention to detail, creativity, innovative solutions to challenges presented by our small yard, and their commitment to making sure we were happy throughout the process. They are exceptionally good at project management and communication, which can be huge problems with home improvement projects. In one of the rainiest summers on record, Colao & Peter was able to deliver our fabulous pool and spa, large patio, and pavilion with attached chimney and fireplace, just as we had dreamed! They are very professional and attend to every detail. Even when there were a few minor supply issues, unrelated to their company, they dealt with it quickly and professionally. They keep winning awards as well! My wife and I highly recommend them.
