When we moved into our new house three years ago we met Dave and John as I had seen their trucks through the neighborhood. I had also coincidentally had them referred by a trusted friend and additionally a landscape architect. Over the course of three years, we have used them for spring and fall cleanups, drainage work, burying downspouts, installing shrub borders, adding plantings, removing massive dirt piles the previous owners had left, doing a backfill for our driveway, as well as but not limited to correcting extreme damage the city did to our property installing a new sewer. If you are looking for someone who is best in class, fair, honest and do above and beyond what they promise please stop looking around – this is who you want to hire. I love the ease of knowing the cost up front and then paying online through their quickbooks link. Every crew that has shown up has been extremely kind and courteous. One crew seems to end up at our house more than others and the guys wave to my little kids when they wave to them. These guys pick up their trash and leave the space cleaner than when they came. I actually saw them scoop up leaves that were clogging up a different sewer drain in our street just because they were there with a shovel. I can’t speak more highly of this business.

I had my patio, driveway and southside sidewalk installed by Rooney Landscaping in the summer of 2013 with guarantee for life (as long as I owned the home) with any repair work done on the pavers free of charge. Fast forward to 2024, Rooney Landscaping power washed all of my pavers. In the process Dave Rooney pointed out a few areas of repairs that needed to be done. Lo, and behold, all the repairs were done free of charge without me saying a thing. Rooney Landscaping is the best and mean what they say even 11 years later! I had a major landscaping project completed in the fall of 2013. I hired Rooney Landscape to do the project. The project was completed correctly, efficiently and timely beyond my expectations. The various crews were professional and on time. They answered all my questions (and I had many) to my satisfaction. Either for a small or big landscape project I would whole heartedly recommend Rooney Landscape to anyone.

Excellent service provided by Rooney, again. Cesar and Javier made everything just right, no shortcuts. Tree transplanted, remade flower beds, re-mulch, pruning and shaping, etc. Totally NEW yard, neighbors impressed!

We originally set up a meeting through the website as it indicated, but then quickly received a cancellation notice without reason, so I reached out via email, and Dave Rooney responded saying he would be out of town that day. Even though I found it odd that no explanation was given until I reached out, I set up another appointment with him through our email discussion. The day of that meeting, he was just a no-show. We called and emailed again, but never received a response. I know schedules change, especially this time of year, but there is just no excuse for not showing up and not communicating with prospective clients.

Rooney Landscape is excellent. They are very hard-working, competent and responsive. The owner, Dave Rooney, is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He takes the time to explain the job and takes a personal interest in the work that is being done. Also, on a personal level, he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I very highly recommend Rooney Landscape!

I cannot say enough about the quality of work performed by Rooney. Not to mention that their crews are respectful and meticulous (my property was cleaned daily). Rooney was responsive to my issues and addressed them all. Additionally, he personally oversaw the work himself. I am very pleased with how my yard turned out and have had numerous compliments from family and friends on the results. If you need any landscape work, look no further – Rooney Landscape will get your work done!

I use Rooney for my fall clean up and all shrub trimming. September 17th I had rotate cuff surgery. I reached out to Rooney landscape if they would be able to cut my yard for the duration of 2019 season. Jon C. e-mailed me back and told me that they would probable be able to help out. Lord and behold the following week I cam home and my yard was done. They really do a fantastic job and the trimming is far better than any one else. I have a previous landscaper who hacked my bushes. It was the worst job I have ever seen. What makes Rooney so good is it you have a problem or need some thing they return calls and fix it. A+. Thanks again.

More than pleased with the job done on my new patio by Rooney and crew. The bluestone patio turned out wonderfully with numerous compliments from my neighbors and friends. The craftsmanship done on the curved cuts and seating wall by the skilled stonemason is truly outstanding. The crew worked tireously to remove and build the new patio as quickly and professionally as possible with no extra costs. I am very happy with my new patio and highly recommend Rooney Landscape. Rooney is the hands down the best landscaping company in Arlington Heights. Jon is amazing to work with and does first class work. Our yard has never looked better once Rooney started taking care of it. We even had them replace some of the dead ornamental plants and shrubs and they did a great job at a fair price. Highly recommended!
