We had difficulty making up our minds about details of the new yard after 39 years with junipers covering it. Dennis and Kristen were great to work with for the front and back yard design of our Lamorinda home. The design process was clear and we had multiple meetings to discuss and to ask any questions we had. Dennis & Kristen were always quick to answer emails and to make any adjustments in the plans as well as provide recommendations. We enjoyed working with them and would recommend their guidance if you’re unsure how to design your yard!

As a customer who recently hired the services of Meadowbrook Design, I am deeply disappointed with the level of unprofessionalism and disregard for our time and money. After multiple attempts to get in touch with Dennis and several inaccurate drawings, I cannot recommend them to anyone in good conscience. The level of incompetence displayed by Dennis and his team is simply unacceptable. Not only were their drawings inaccurate and misleading, but he also failed to respond to any of my attempts to get in touch. Despite leaving numerous messages, sending multiple emails and texts, I have been completely ignored. Having spoken to multiple contractors in the area, it’s disappointing to learn that Dennis has a reputation for exercising this kind of avoidance tactic so please be warned. If you are considering hiring Meadowbrook Design, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Their inability to deliver accurate work and lack of responsiveness make them an unreliable and untrustworthy choice for any landscaping project. Don’t be fooled by their initial, seemingly efficient interactions, save yourself the frustration and disappointment and find someone who delivers quality work and honors their full commitment to their clients.

We hired Meadowbrook Design to design our backyard and they did an awesome job. We started with and oddly shaped yard with zero landscaping and Dennis and Team were able to design a yard that our family and friends love. Dennis and team listened to all of our needs, likes and dislikes and were very transparent through the entire process. They took time to adjust the design and talk through all the design elements including plants selection, lighting and all structures and fencing. In a time where costs varied widely they were always quick to provide cheaper alternatives or think outside the box which we really appreciated. No question is a stupid question to Dennis and his team and they are always quick to get back to us on any questions we had. When the work actually started Dennis worked closely with the landscape contractor to make sure everyone was on the same page and that the job was done to our standards. We really enjoyed working with Dennis and his team and we’re thrilled with the yard he designed for our family. We would highly recommend Meadowbrook Design.

We hired Dennis to design the landscape for our house. After seeing another house in the neighborhood that Dennis had completed and talking to the owners, we were confident that we could get a design that would work for our very large lot. And I must say, we were absolutely blown away with how everything turned out. Dennis was very responsive to our concerns, expectations and ideas. He was very professional in his approach and his suggestions and design work were definitely top tier. Dennis also provided suggestions of very capable landscapers to do the actual hardscape and softscape. The firm that did the actual work was also fabulous. My wife and I feel that we were very fortunate to have connected with Dennis and the landscapers. If I could rate Meadowbrook Design 10 stars I would in a heartbeat.

My wife and I chose Dennis to design our new backyard. From first to last, he did a fantastic job. He started out by listening carefully to what we wanted, then he converted our general concept into a specific design. This went through several drafts, getting better and more refined with each draft. Dennis was prompt, diligent and creative. His design was great! Dennis then provided critical assistance with the construction phase of the project, which involved extensive “hardscape” construction as well as landscaping. He introduced us to 3 contractors who each had a good track record on Dennis’s projects, and provided key input in helping us to select G&M Landscape as our contractor. My wife and I are very grateful to Dennis for that selection, because G&M was the best contractor we could imagine for this job. We experienced none of the problems so common to projects of this sort. G&M was timely, diligent, stuck with the job from beginning to end, and did superb work. They were also great to work with — polite, responsive, careful, friendly. We couldn’t be happier with the work Dennis and G&M did to create a beautiful new backyard for us. Highly recommended!!
