I’ve been working here for a little over a year and it’s been quite the journey. I work in the office and the staff and environment is very team driven and absolutely a great play to learn and grow. The benefits of being a family owned company show through in many ways and it’s definitely a breath of fresh air coming from a retail background.

The driver of the white truck going up-and-down state road 46 at 70 miles an hour. Almost slamming into the back of cars pushing other cars out of the way by changing lanes with a trail around it? If that’s what your company does for work, it’s pathetic

Bought new home from Pulte. Sprinkler system not lined with property. Work order put in. And 0 response. I have called multiple times. No communication. I would personally not use their service. And will not recommend them either. Maybe I’ll change my mind if they ever fix their mistake.

This review could easily be changed but I’ve been trying to reach quality by design with a question. I did ask them which variety of zoysia they installed (2 different types). Ian said there aren’t different varieties of zpysia and they only look different because they are from different sod farms. First this demonstrates a severe lack of knowledge about their product. Obviously there are over a dozen varieties of zoysia. I coukd look past this because knowing its zoysia is probably good enough for most people. But to not know, not inquire when yiu don’t know or lie to me is a very telling sign. So ive been trying to now reach them to find out which sod farms supply them. They haven’t answered or returned my messages. Once they do I’m happy to change this review. Until then, I rate q star and highly do NOT recommend quality by design and my reasons are lack of knowledge or possible deception, lack of communication, and finally lack of quality. I added a picture. Try not to laugh too hard. But if yiu can spot the difference in grass varieties, you already know more then they do.

Worst experience. The landscaper was hired by Pulte as part of our initial lawn installation. Before closing I brought to their attention issues with the landscaping. In the front side of our home the tradesmen walked all over our plants breaking them. We even had one plant thrown there and not planted. After calling this company numerous times through Pulte and directly myself the owner claims it was approved by the final walkthrough inspectors. This has been a nightmare. To make matters worse they also handle the irrigation system. I would not recommend anyone to this company due to their bad service.

After working at Quality By Design, Inc. for almost 20 years, I can say the most impactful thing I have noticed is the opportunity for advancement. I started as an irrigation foreman, and am now senior management. All of the operations managers all started as foreman or laborers. Even the office and accounting managers started at lower positions than where they are at currently. If you have a strong work ethic, and the ability to learn, there is plenty of opportunity here. I would strongly recommend working at Quality By Design, Inc. to any one that is seeking employment.

Quality By Design is a family owned company that has as a very employee oriented mission and vision. 401k company match, health insurance, Life insurance – paid by the Company -, you are off on your birthdate. You have a family situation? They will listen and figure it out. What else you can ask?
