Searched online for landscapers, liked Axel Landscape’s website, called them, and never looked back! Jodi was THE best throughout the entire planning process (paver patio, sidewalk, and plantings), her greatest gift was knowing when to listen, when to make suggestions, and when to just make the decision for us! Jodi also worked with the city to get them to approve our project and with our porch installer to make sure everything would work together. Way above and beyond! Chris and crew were outstanding, all work done beautifully and within the time frame promised. Would use Axel Landscape again for any landscape project! (They’re busy, call soon!)

We had a paver patio, wall, and boulder installation to support our hot tub, fire put , and our pool. Axel’s helped with design and the installation was fast and very professional. Highly recommend! Picture below with basketball hoop is what the space used to look like before…

We had Axel Landscape do a major remodel of our backyard retaining wall and pool deck area in 2020-21. This was a major project that required extensive design and working with other contractors to ensure proper drainage, etc. Jodi, Chris, and the crew at Axel did a phenomenal job! From the initial visit to the finished product we were always kept in the loop in terms of cost, timing, when the crew would be working, and any potential modifications to the initial design. We have worked with many contractors over the past several years and Axel is the only one that has continually not only met, but surpassed our expectations. We look forward to hiring them again for our next landscaping project!

We had a very large, complex project that included two paver patios (one of which was roughly 43 ft by 19-24 ft with curved steps and edges and integrated lighting), retaining walls, stone pillars, 12 ft x 14 ft cedar pergola, fireplace, sitting wall, and regrading the lot and installing sod, stone edging, planting beds, and several trees, among other things. We obtained multiple bids for our project and decided to work with Axel Landscape as it was clear they had the technical knowledge, experience, equipment, and crew to design and implement our vision. They were also heavily recommended by previous customers of theirs that we spoke to. With the roughly two-to-three-week project now complete, my wife and I and our neighbors are blown away by the finished product. A few things that set Axel Landscape apart are Jodi’s technical knowledge at the design phase in addressing unique and complex issues with our lot, and Chris and the crew’s unbelievable attention to detail and skill. We were impressed with their communication, cleanliness after each workday, ability to seamlessly work with and around our other contractors (irrigation, gas line, fence), and ability to adapt when we had a few adjustments mid project. With how large and complex our project was we had very high expectations and Axel Landscape exceeded those expectations. We are very happy with our experience and the end result, and highly recommend working with them.

This is the second time in 6 years I’ve used Chris, Jodi and the crew for my landscaping needs and this time was no different than the first. I couldn’t be more pleased. This time involved tearing apart a number of 27 year old retaining walls and rebuilding them to look new. Jodi had some great design ideas to freshen up the look and by the time the guys were done, they looked as good as they did the day they were first installed. Chris also knows how particular I am about my yard and the guys took extra measures to protect against any damage. The whole crew was polite, professional and just damn good at what they do!

Our experience with Axel Landscape and the results were phenomenal! Our project included a pavers patio, pergola, rock wall and plants. We met with Jodi a number of times for planning and she was very honest, knowledgeable, a strong communicator and great at her job! Once we got started the crew worked HARD: 12+ hour days in 90+ degree heat. They focused solely on our project and we are thrilled with how quickly it came together and the results. Chris was so helpful along the way as we made a couple of small revisions to the original plan. Highly recommend!

Here’s the deal with Axel Landscape – they are professional and responsive and generous and they do amazing work. We recently moved into a home that Axel Landscape had worked on a couple of years ago, including a beautiful patio and steps hardscape. I had some questions about maintenance and called Axel for some advice. Even though I wasn’t the original owner, they were more than happy to take the time to talk to me about the questions I had in detail. I wouldn’t hesitate to engage them on future projects!

Axel Landscape did an amazing job installing our patio. Jodi (planner and designer) is a great communicator. She took her time to explain what will be done, the various options and what is necessary versus what’s nice to have. She outlined the quote very clearly with revisions and updates clearly marked. I always felt engaged in the process and that me and her were working together. I never felt pushed or pressured to make any decisions. Chris and the crew did a great job demolishing the old deck, leveling the ground, installing the patio and steps, replanting the flowers/shrubs and cleaning up after the job was done. they left no trace in the yard other than their great work. Very clean work! Chris was very easy to reach and respond via texts. While i didn’t meet him personally, he was great to connect with on the phone. the crew was very nice, respectful and professional. Keep up the great work!

Axel Landscapes has done multiple projects at my home over the past couple of years. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and I recommend them often. Most recently, Chris and Jodi completely re-did our backyard. This involved design, demolition of the old overgrown landscaping, new plantings, paver walkways, and some brickwork for a small wall. They actually did the project earlier than forecast – they had some scheduling changes and were able to move our project ahead in the schedule. Who doesn’t like getting their work done early? Chris arrived with his crew to organize everything and to deliver all the materials. From that point on – his expert crew took over and worked HARD. Each day they were working from sunup to sundown to get the project done- I was amazed when I saw them still working after dinner! At one point, they realized that there was going to be a challenge to get proper water drainage with our paver walkway and they weren’t going to get a proper slope to drain the water away from our house. They redesigned it and made it much longer & fancier to get a better slope all at their own expense to make sure it was done correctly. Talk about going the extra mile! After completion of the project – several of our neighbors asked for Chris and Jodi’s contact information because they were impressed by the quality of the work and how hard the crew was working. I also appreciate that they will be honest about costs and timing up front. I never felt like they were making “optimistic” estimates to win the project. Jodi was a treat to work with during the planning phases of the project.. and her designs are high-end. They did as beautiful job on this project as they did on the other projects they’ve done for us in the past. We’re running out of landscape projects – but will gladly refer them again to friends and neighbors.

Axel Landscape was AWESOME! Jodi met with me a number of times, and was easy to get ahold of by phone/email when I had questions. She even communicated with the company who framed our deck to make sure the whole outdoor project would come together seamlessly! The schedule was approximated for obvious reasons, but it was always considered and communicated well. They were able to get in early and even checked with me before doing so, knowing that I had other outdoor projects in the works. By comparison, the folks that replaced my fence at my previous house did not run anything by me, never even called when they sent their contracted team out two weeks early, and so I came home to a torn up yard and no fence – with 2 dogs, I needed to know ahead of time when people were going to be by to work in the yard, it’s surprising that a company would not consider that. Axel Landscape would never do such a thing. They were very considerate of my time, money, property and preferences. Another thing I like about Axel Landscape is that they don’t contract out their jobs, they have their hands on every project from start to finish. They stand by their work. They thought of things I would have never considered and were sure to bring them to my attention before it was too late. For that I am grateful and feel assured that my money was well spent. I’m not a landscaper, obviously, so I relied on them to inform me and THEY DID. They were not just order-takers, they played a very active role in the planning and execution. I will ABSOLUTELY use them for future projects and you should too.
