Had a big very old oak tree trimmed and dead branches taken off by Charlie, Ben and Rodrigo. They did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend Davey Tree Co. The crew was very friendly, knowledgeable, very courteous and made sure to check with us as they were working. I highly recommend them for all your needs

Manager Nick Bates, arborist representative Aaron Zucker, and Peter and Charles (the two Davey reps who replaced my tree today) are by far the most professional, personable, and knowledgeable people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Their love for what they do shows in their work and their attitudes. The difference between working with an arborist as opposed to ordinary tree services or landscapers is immeasurable. Planting a tree is an investment in something that you expect to enjoy for the rest of your life, so you want to use specialists who know the best tree to plant for your location, who understand your needs, and who select and plant your tree with great care. Davey Trees did just that for me. They stand behind their work with a 3-year guarantee (I purchased the fertilization package), which gives me confidence and peace of mind as my new tree gets adjusted to its new home. I scheduled a tree service to remove a damaged tree that was titling and on the verge of falling. Not once but twice they bailed on me, failing to show for scheduled appointments. The tree subsequently fell and I called a few tree removal companies for an estimate as well as an assessment of additional trees in poor health. DAVEY TREE’s arborist Nick was prompt and professional when he arrived for an estimate and immediately scheduled work as my trees were at risk for causing additional harm and damage to property. Their crew showed up on time as scheduled, were consummate professionals as to their work protocol taking all necessary safety precautions and did a superb job cleaning up. I highly recommend DAVEY TREE and will make them my first call and only call in the future.

If you want someone to just cut down, or just cut off limbs from your trees, Davey isn’t for you. But if you want someone who knows exactly what kind of tree you have, how healthy the tree is, what its prognosis is, how good (or bad) the root spread is, understands what the growth patterns foretell, the right way to climb the tree, or in other words, someone who truly understands tree science (dendrology) so they really understand what they are doing, then you’d appreciate what Davey brings to the job. And Davey is not more expensive. In fact, Davey’s estimate beat the estimate of two other tree pros AND cut down & removed two other invasive tree saplings on my property for no extra cost. Why hire anyone else?

DAVEY THE TREE & LAWN EXPERTS, LONG ISLAND, NY Yesterday 7/19/2022 Nick Bates, the tree and lawn expert from Davey came to my home to check out my lawn for me. In the spring my lawn looks good, but when the hot weather comes in, a lot of the green grass turns brown! This happens year after year no matter which gardener I hire. Last week I called in another company to see what they had to say, about why my grass being brown? I was told it was a fungus and to treat it it would cost around $1000. I told this to Nick, he looked around closer, and said that was not my problem, my problem is that my gardeners are putting down the WRONG seeds. Seeds that thrive in shady cool places but TURN BROWN in the hot sun! So my solution is to use a better grass seed like a Kentucky Blue grass seed. Nick also showed me a couple of hard to get rid of weeds on my lawn, nutsedge, and blue violet. I am hiring DAVEY to put down applications to get rid of them! Nick was not pushy and very straight forward and honest with me, not looking to sell me something I don’t really need like the other company was trying to do. I like that a lot about Nick! This company is a keeper in my book! I recommend DAVEY THE TREE & LAWN EXPERTS to all who look for PROFESSIONAL help in solving their tree and lawn problems!

I have a big maple tree in front of my house that has been shedding broken branches for years. I knew it needed to be looked at by a professional Arborist. I certainly found that in the Davey Tree Company! The Arborist Nick Bates came to look at the tree. I was so happy his assessment of the tree was that it was in good health but in need of a pruning. He promptly sent me a proposal by email detailing the pruning procedure. I was able to accept and send it back to him easily. When the scheduled date arrived Nick and the crew were on time. They were very thorough about the clean up in front if my yard. As it turned out I did need a smaller tree removed in my back yard. The crew was able to do that for me also. Overall I strongly recommend the Davey Tree Company. They were always accessible by phone and quick to respond. I’m so happy I found them!
