Very thankful that I hired J&G Masonry. I was under a deadline as work was required by my home insurance. I messaged through the website, got a same-day response (truly shocked!), and an estimate by the next day. I told Juan my deadline which spanned 2 weeks and the crew came on day 1 of that timeline. They worked all day, and I have 2 beautiful walkways as a result. So what did I appreciate? Responsiveness! Professional! Hard Working! No Headaches! Their attention to detail and meticulous craftsmanship was fantastic. Truly a pleasure 🙂

J and G Masonry gave me a new concrete driveway last spring and it turned out excellent. It has held up well (no cracks at all) and my neighbors complimented their craftsmanship.

Project is still in progress, but so far, I’m very impressed. J&G was contracted to do a project for a condo association. Some residents wanted to add to the project, which we thought was communicated by the property manager days earlier, but wasn’t. Called Juan directly, and he immediately sent over a contract and started the add-on to the project the same day! Today, I had a question about project specifics, and called Juan. He answered my questions and explained everything thoroughly. His employees seem very hardworking and efficient, and Juan himself is very responsive by phone and email.

Absolutely beautiful job! This is the third time that I’ve had the J & G team back to my home. They are kind and hard working, and they do an amazing job. I already have plans for the next project. I appreciated the hard working individuals and their expedited work process. I spent 37k with this company. I had a retaining wall and fence installed along with hydroseeding my whole yard. Everything was great aside from the hydroseeding. They did the hydroseeding prior to the fence installation. A lot of the hydroseeding was dug up with the install. I let it be assuming they were the professionals. The hydroseeding did not take in some areas. I reached out to the owner and he told me there was nothing he could do as I didn’t have sprinklers running when he came to pick up the balance, 4pm. Four pm is not an ideal time to water. I ran the sprinklers daily. The hydroseeding was the cheapest part of this project. They could have redone it. They also went above the limit for a retaining wall without a permit. Bellingham requires a permit over 4 feet. My wall was 4 feet 5 inches. I had to bury the bottom of it which was counterproductive to my goal of leveling the yard. If they made it right I would highly recommend. Since they neglected to follow through I would not recommend. I wish I waited to pay the balance.

I emailed Juan through the website and got a call the same day-it was mid-February, and they were just getting their larger jobs scheduled, so fitting my wrecked front steps would be an easy slot in! He said he could come by the next day, and while we were chatting, used Google Street view to get a visual on our issue. He arrived on time, took the measurements, gave me a couple of options for more or less masonry work, but since our house has a hard to find (Quelle surprise) 80s mint vinyl siding, I opted to have the stairs rebuilt on the same footprint. He sent an estimate for both, just in case, and a weather permitting start date of 3/27. Signed, and emailed back without delay. Andres and Giovanni showed up, smashed that concrete covered brick (while helping me save some brick out for an edging project!), and the job done and dusted by 4/1. We had a few issues with rotten lumber, that were handled by a contractor on day 2, but otherwise, a super seamless process. The work is excellent-the guys are thoughtful, careful, and a solid crew. Cleanup looks like they were never even here. The brick looks like it’s always been here, tied in beautifully with the existing foundation, and we couldn’t be happier.
