I can’t say enough good things about Alicia and her company, AK Botanical Design. I recently completed a remodel of my house and had absolutely zero landscaping. Alicia came over, listened to what I wanted….or more importantly what I didn’t want, and came up with beautiful, one of kind design. She and her team are professional, reliable, and very easy work with. They turned big pile of dirt and weeds into a gorgeous array of color and texture. More importantly, she created a delightful space to relax, unwind and hang out with friends. Brava!

I highly recommend A.K. Botanical design. During the summer of 2020 Alicia helped me design a backyard patio/ paver design for a fire table along with beautiful landscape around it. She took a plain space that was underutilized and helped me create a backyard oasis that I use all the time now. She is very professional, fun to work with and had the job completed in less time than originally quoted.

I’ve used Alicia’s professional consultation services many times over the years – most notably for advice on a tiny Japanese maple. I thought the little guy was dying but Alicia said that it was just dormant and told me what I needed to do to keep it alive. Left to my own devices, this tree would have probably died and I’m thankful I followed Alicia’s instructions because I now have a healthy and thriving little tree thanks to her! I whole-heartedly recommend Alicia for any consultations or horticulture and landscaping design needs. Her extensive knowledge of plants and trees is beyond anyone else I’ve ever worked with.

Alicia and all of her people were amazing to work with—so professional and respectful and fun. I am a bit of a nature fanatic and wanted only bird and butterfly friendly, native plants, and that’s what I got! Alicia knows her stuff! My yard is a beautiful place filled with all sorts of beautiful plants and beautiful creatures, too. I can’t recommend AK Botanical Designs enough!

My backyard was in need of a total make over and I reached out to Alicia from A.K. Botanical Design. I had sort of an idea of what I wanted, but was struggling with putting a design together. She came over and I explained what I wanted to do with the yard and she took that and created a fantastic design. The work included regrading the entire area, a couple of paver areas, stepping stones, new sod and planting beds. Alicia saved some of the more established plants and chose a mix of perennials that looked good immediately, but even better a year later as they became established. She’s very easy and flexible to work with. We made on the fly changes to the size/shape of the paver area with zero issues. Overall the yard still looks great years later.

AK Botanical Design is fantastic. Alicia helped me in 2016 turn a tiny postage stamp front yard into a beautiful green space with evergreens, perennials and great texture and color. A few years later I moved to a home with a much bigger and empty yard. The AK team once again provided a comprehensive (and flexible) plan, great collaboration and full service installation. Alicia even gamely went along with my scheme to plant as many edible landscape items as possible. 😛 We get tons of compliments from our neighbors on our landscaping. It’s truly been a pleasure to work with Alicia and the team at AK Botanical Design.
