This company installed a roof a year ago, it leaks in the same spot they claimed to fix. When I call they say they will be over to look at it next week. After 2 months now these clowns won’t answer the phone. When I talked to him he agreed the bubbles are due to improper installation but that they don’t cause leaks. He also said the have to inspect them “all the time”, maybe take some pride in your work.

Went from five stars to one. Updated 6/3/24. Apparently Ally Roofing never picked up the permit from the City of Schenectady (Noah w/ Ally Roofing said they would take care of all that) and now we’re dealing with a violation and Ally Roofing is not returning our phone calls or our emails.

Ally replaced my roof in May 2023, and now there is a leak. I have had numerous phone calls with Ally, with promises to repair the leak, and so far nothing….they were quick to install the roof, and now to get them to follow-up and fix the leak….still waiting almost 3 months now

We hired Ally roofing to patch up our roof and replace a gutter along the side of the roof where a tree limb had damaged it. They were very timely to come out and assess our roof, write up a quote, and send out their guys to repair the roof and remove the old gutter. we paid 2/3 of the estimate and they said they would follow up later that week to replace up the gutter. This was on October 16th 2023 – Nearly 4 months later we still don’t have a gutter. The guys who worked on the roof left garbage and food in our lawn, staples in our driveway, and the on-site manager asked to enter our home to bathroom 3 times during the 3 hours they were working on the roof. The strange behavior just adds to poor quality of service and unprofessional nature of how they do business. Over the last 4 months I have texted my contact at Ally, Will, for updates and he assures me we will get a gutter the following week then ultimately blames, “bad weather” and never shows up to replace it. In the last 3 weeks he has become completely unresponsive to both texts and calls. Areas of the roof that were patched are now leaking, I have called and left messages with no avail, and their office number is out of service. So frustrating and sketchy. We had another local gutter service come to assess the roof and gave us a quote and said they can have the new gutter up within 10 days. In winter! They assured me that put gutters up year round. They also let us know that not having a gutter for the last 4 months has exposed the roof and likely done some damage and it needs to be replaced ASAP. Wish I could give Ally zero stars, we basically paid them to waste our time and do damage to our roof. Awful.

Didn’t hire them but… I called them on 1/10 and asked about having a new roof done. Was told they would have someone out in my area next week and set me up for a appointment on 1/17 at 1pm for a estimate. Well, needless to say the appointment time came and went with a no show/no call. I even called Wednesday at 2:30 to see what was going on and if everything was ok. Even left them a voice message for them to call me back. Nothing but crickets. Absolutely horrible customer service. Like I said, I can’t judge the work as I didn’t have anything performed, cause well, they never showed even for a estimate, but can say I am NOT impressed with this company what so ever so far.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! We engaged Ally to install our roof and gutter system in September 2021. Ally completed the roof installation quickly and efficiently. For a small 1500 sq ft roof our total bill was $22,199. For that price we expected not to have to chase down contractors and to have a quick and easy installation. Ally told us that they were not the cheapest, but they would give us the least amount of headaches. We are two busy professionals so we decided to engage them. It is hard not to look back on that decision and wish we went with another contractor after the headache over the gutter installation, the roof leaks, the damage to our house, and the back and forth with Ally. I hesitated to post a negative review for these many months because the employees at Ally have been apologetic – they recognize they are at fault and fully admit it when we are talking or emailing with them. However, at a certain point we have to acknowledge that the employees and owners are “yes”-ing and “sorry”-ing us with no action or plan of action. At bottom, Ally has not completed the work we agreed upon and has caused damage to our home. We posted a negative review in June 2022 and Ally called us to assure us they would take care of the problem. We took the review down. IT IS DECEMBER 2023 AND THE ROOF STILL LEAKS. Installers left pieces of gutter, roofing, and tools on our property. The gutter installers were not scheduled until almost six full months after the roof was installed. Without gutters for such a long period of time we have noticed and documented damage to our house. An Ally employee came to our house, went on the roof and told us that the Ally crew did the installation wrong. The employee did a quick fix and said he would come back to fully fix it. THE ROOF IS STILL LEAKING. This has been a nightmare.

James was the first contact and he truly is wonderful. He was very prompt, explained things in a way that a layperson could understand. The day of the replacement the crew arrived at 7:30am and my whole roof was replaced and everything cleaned up by 5:45pm. Hard workers, diligent and phenomenal!

I had a leak in my roof between the house and the attached garage. They ripped out a minimum number of shingles, installed water/ice barrier, all new flashing, and new matching shingles. Since there was not appropriate venting, they put a ridge vent on top of the peak. They also installed a large round, decorative vent above the 2nd floor in front of the house. James, the sales associate, was great to work with, as was Keith (coordinated the installation dates) and Garrett (oversaw the work and made sure the crew has what they needed). The work was done in a professional manner, and Carlos, the lead installer, was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Ally Roofing!

Keith and his crew did an excellent job putting a new roof on the garage as well as doing repair work around the house chimney. This was a couple months ago and everything is watertight and looking great. Thanks again, Peter O.

My roof was replaced on 5/16. They were on time for that and completed it that day. They did not use all the plywood that we thought we’d need and were charged for. We received a refund for the unused material.
