I don’t often leave reviews, but I need to for Si … he is the best., We had hail damage from storm … it impacted the roof, gutters and windows. Si’s experience and professionalism showed as he worked and navigated through the discussions with our insurance carrier, ensuring that we were able to get the coverage we needed. That was just the start … the complexity of the project (windows, stucco, roof, gutters, etc) was very high, and Si was able to keep things coordinated and m0oving through the entire process. His communication skills were incredible and the final product was amazing. We can’t thank Si enough for what he did to help us through the process … and even this review doesn’t begin to articulate how impressed we were by his knowledge, professionalism, experience and great personality. From start to finish, working with Silas was a great experience. He was very thorough from the initial inspection, working with the insurance adjuster, providing the options for new shingles, and the installation. There were many instances in our situation that required additional care and labor, but it was never a problem working with Van Horn. Couldn’t recommend more.

Completed complete tear off and reroof in one day. Worked very hard with the insurance company to cover everything. Good work and cleanup. He cares.

I highly recommend Van Horn Construction for all your exterior construction needs. Silas, at Van Horn Construction took care of all the issues related to the hail damage insurance claim. Silas explained things clearly, got the work done timely, professionally, and got me the most money for my claim. The insurance company was trying to lowball the replacement work scope and costs and Silas negotiated with them and I got the higher payout!! My house looks great and I couldn’t be happier with Van Horn Construction.

I am a neighbor of Silas and have known him since I moved here 2 years ago. He did an excellent job on my project and always stepped up to represent me to the insurance company. He got a very difficult project done in one day and we are grateful for his work and the work of his crew. He made the project very seamless for us and hung in there with the insurance company until all work was taken care of.. He will do a great job for you on your roof and ,because of his past work as an insurance adjuster, he understands the process to get your a fair and honest settlement.

I seriously can not say enough good things about this company. Silas the owner came out and met us personally, sat down with us and gave us all the options. We did not feel the pressure of “got to get a sale” He truly was very respectful. My insurance had given us the run around and Silas went the extra mile and advocated for us which allowed us to get our roof done before missing the insurance deadline. He also had the type of shingle we wanted, where some roofing companies did not have it when we asked. His employee’s were very professional, friendly and efficient. It only took ONE day to complete! Silas was also on the job site with his employees. Their work was great, and they even made sure to leave our property in good shape when they were done with the project. Silas clearly takes pride in what he does. He is very passionate about his company and that his customers have a good experience. If I could recommend him to everyone I would hands down. I WILL be a repeat customer if ever needed.

Look no further than Van Horn Construction! I was introduced to Sy by a neighbor two summers ago when he was redoing their roof. He was a friend of theirs that they trusted, so I had him look at my roof to see what kind of shape it was in. He gave me honest feedback to not replace at that time. After the storms this past summer, Sy was the first person I called. He worked with my insurance company as we stepped through that process. He was always there on time and ready to work on my behalf. He was very respectful to the adjuster while helping identify damages that may have been passed by (see pics). Once we had approval for a new roof, he worked me right into the schedule (It was a BUSY time). The crew he has was as good as him! They got right to work and were efficient, respectful, clean and did an AMAZING job! Now that the job is done, Sy continues to work on my behalf with the insurance claim. With all that said, I would HIGHLY recommend Van Horn with any of your construction needs. Skip the door knockers and go with somebody LOCAL that you can TRUST! Thanks Sy!
