Hurricane Beryl knocked down several treeson our property and nearly ripped the meter box of the outside of our home. The damage was significant. Mr Electric sent out Mason to assess the situation. As I said the damage was extensive so he helped us secure financing to cover the work. Mason was amazing. He got going on the job right away. Despite adverse conditions, extreme heat and humidity, literally having to crawl over downed trees and work around tree services and clean-up crews! He was always kind, friendly and professional! He was patient with my overly curious nature and answered all my questions. Best experience with an electrician I’ve had. I know a lot of people SAY they’ll treat you like family but Mason really did. After getting all the parts and supplies to begin he showed up at the house with ice cold juice drinks for my little girl. If Mason is representative of everyone at Mr. Electric then I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

We had them come give an estimate on hanging 2 ceiling fans. He did a safety check of our breaker box, found where we could use a larger surge protector. His price was reasonable and could install the fans today. So when he left, we had 2 ceiling fans installed and running and a larger surge protector installed and he had made friends with our puppy.

I called this company due to their overall rating to fix my pool lighting which no longer functioned due to a tripped circuit breaker at the pool circuit breaker box. The service technicians came to assess and provide a quote to fix what was wrong. I was quoted 357 dollars to do this work which included troubleshooting and servicing my pool equipment circuit box. The technicians found a bad wire leading from my pool circuit box to my light junction box which was run through existing conduit. I was asked at the time what I wanted them to do which was strange but told them I wanted a new wire pulled through the existing conduit to fix the problem. They said they would “try” and see if could be done. After 10 minutes they told me they could not run it through the existing conduit as they could not get past the 90 degree bend. This was frustrating and then they proceeded to tell me that they would need to run scheduled 40 conduit along the side of the house as they could not use their equipment to fish a line through the existing conduit. Then the technicians told me instead of 357 dollars that it would now cost me 1100 dollars to do the work. At this time this was triple the cost so I told them that was unacceptable. I was told it was due to the work to run the new conduit and they would need to go purchase it before performing the work. At that time, the work I originally asked them to perform they could not and I was not willing to spend triple to do alternate work. After the technicians left, I went back to the same conduit and was able to easily run and electric wire through the same conduit that the technicians said they could not do and proceeded to charge triple the amount of cost. This is unacceptable!!! I was told they could not pull the wire through the existing conduit but yet I was able to do the same work in less than 30 minutes. I should not have had to perform that work myself as this is what I hired them to do but apparently the work could not be done yet I was able to do it and fix my own light issue! I am extremely unhappy with this service and feel I was being taken advantage of and then charged 357 dollar for nothing to be done to fix my system so they left without fixing it. To be honest I paid because I wanted them to leave not because they actually did any work that equated to the 357 dollars I was charged and still had non functional lights. This was the worst service I have ever had and to think these were trained electrical technicians that could have run the new wired and fix the issue but I had to do this work as the customer!! Customers need to be aware of the up charging of work and services that are not necessary based on false claims of not being able to fix the original problem Unless paying triple the original quoted cost!!
