Beware of this company! It used to be very good until the head guy, Brian, left. They installed a new outside and inside Rudd AC unit for me for $6000 in 2022. A year later, because of improper installation I now know, it started leaking to my downstairs floor. I called them when it was very first leaking through the ceiling. They came out, said it was backed up and they fixed it. I called them a week later and told them it’s still leaking. Lindsey told me “no that just condensation”. I went out of town then and two weeks later my whole ceiling fell in. So they came out once again. They assured me they fixed what they supposedly fixed the first time. And to add insult to injury, they forgot to put the return pipe back on outside and it flooded my inside wall, which I had to replace that drywall. They refused to pay for any of the $1500 drywall repairs. In fact, they wanted me to pay them $400 for their “repair”!! Well, a year later, it just happened again. Overflowed and leaking through the ceiling. I brought another AC company out. They said that it was not installed properly. The return is way too small which causes high static, sweat and mildew and there was no pan put in underneath the unit. I called Britt’s and spoke to Dwayne who has “been there for decades” he said. He argued with me that it had absolutely nothing to do with Britt’s, and he will not stand behind his work, nor will they work with the warranty that it should still be under. He went on to say that a “pan” is an upgrade and does not come with a new AC unit (which IF this was the case, I was never given the option by them to purchase a pan). And then, he had the audacity to want a $400 payment for what they screwed up last year! There are too many other good companies to use in this town, than to trust Britt’s with such an expensive job. I used them for 15 years before this happened. I attach pictures here with the date stamps on them. So it will now be a $4000 to fix the $6000 AC unit I paid them to install only 2 years ago.

Terrible work and customer service! Their repair of my overflowing drain pipe did not hold up and when I tried to have them come back out they said it was not their fault it was still leaking! They cost me a lot of money to just end up using another company!

We had a someone come out to check out our unit since we were having leaking issues. They said they unclog the pipes and that its fixed we paid them and they left. The leaking still is happening with the photos I attached. They came again yesterday said the pvp pipe was broken they got what they needed to fix it they left but it’s still leaking. We can’t use the ac cause the water is dipping near a a ceiling fan and worse case someone shuts it on and it’s leaking water near the wiring. We called AGAIN today just to be told we got to wait tomorrow for it be look at in summer time. Why didn’t the guys wait to see if the leaking continue? Why leave just for us to have to call again. Quality is insuring the problem is solved not saying it’s done and leaving. We know it’s the ac cause when it’s off no water but when it’s on it’s a mini rain storm from the ceiling.

Totally recommend Britts Ac! Had issues with our ac cooling and they had a technician here within a couple hours and we were up and running in no time! The technician was super great!

Thank God there are businesses like this still available. The tech – Cameron – showed up around 10 pm after a long hot day of busting his butt and still was as professional and thorough as you would expect. Got the repairs done to my central air unit in a timely manner and didn’t play games with the invoice or charge me unnecessarily. What more can you ask for? I know who I will be contacting for any future HVAC service. Thanks Cam 👍

5/31/2024 This is in regard to my mother in law’s house. We have reached out to you several times regarding her air conditioner not working. Our son flew down to take a look at it for her since it’s been so hot and her air conditioner is still not working properly and she’s getting the run around from your company. Basically, he found that the heat was on the entire time the air was on and the two were fighting each other. He also found there was a bad relay. As soon as the heat turned heat off, the air dropped like it should. This is Something you should have caught WEEKS ago instead of throwing $$ at it. Shame on you for taking advantage of the elderly! Her electric bills have been high, now we know why! Why didn’t anyone check this?? Please explain why no one could find this simple solution. Also no one ever came back to fix our problem after you were called several times. We feel bad for ever having recommended you to our mother. You charged her $600 labor! You should reimburse her!!

I’ve had at least over 4 technicians from Britt come out for installing ductwork, and routine repairs over the last 17 years. Each has been great and pricing continue to be competitive. Mark Stokes was awesome. Not only did he fix my AC unit, he recognized I like to understand how things work, and clearly explained the aspects of my package unit, the heat pump, how both 30 amp breakers relate to my unit, and reprogrammed my thermostat to accurately reflect my units lack of heat strips with emergency heating(overkill in Florida) so the other members of the house don’t get confused in using the thermostat those two times a year we need heat AND Dad happens to be asleep. Thank you!
