Excellent service, I called at 5pm on a Thursday during a heat wave because my A/C was non operational and a technician was at my house by 6:30pm with completion of work by 7:30pm!!! This was after another (big name) company informed me they would be out within 2 weeks.

Spoke with Jessica who is apparently the owner CEO and Manager of the company locked my account for any service maintenance due to “refused payment” I explained that I did not refuse to pay I told the technician that I will call the office to make my payment because I didn’t feel comfortable paying a random man over the phone with NO INVOICE or receipt. I called the office moments after the technician left there was no answer I called back on the following Monday 6/3/24 and when I attempted to pay with her she claimed her computer was down so she would send me a link in my email she sent the link today Thursday 6/6/24 I made the payment immediately and sent her a screenshot she had now told me that she is refusing to service my ac machine due to refusing to pay and if they were to come out a service fee of 169.00 would be applied just for them to come out and look at the ac… when I asked to speak to a manager she said I am the manager… when I asked who was above her she said no one is above me… she then says there is a owner so i asked for the owner she says he’s out of the country. I stated i would like to come in to the Talor office tomorrow to speak with someone she claims they arent open to the public… this is Horrible customer service and I would not recommend doing business with them. They have hidden fees and they dnt tell you how much any services would be until they do some work… the receptionist (clearly not the manager) is rude Unprofessional and sheds a horrible light on this company I have had this unit since 2021 this is not 1st time I have been haggled out of money dealing with them. Never again if u are considering utilizing this company for ur heating and cooling needs don’t waste ur time you will spend more money on servicing the product thank the product it’s self along with rude service

Kal tech came out for a furnace diagnostic. I was told it was the control board. I paid and waited several hours for the tech to locate a control board and to return to install it. Once the tech installed it, the furnace would not work. The Tech excuse me of having someone working on the furnace because he saw somethings that wasn’t right. This made me very upset, because not only no one ever touched my furnace, Kal tech was the company that installed the furnace. So my furnace was never properly installed. After that conversation the tech causally asked me would I like to purchase a new unit. $129 service call was a joke. He never found the problem. The tech also had a bad attitude. Great waste of my time. I would avoid doing business with this company. UPDATE; You can tell by the owner response that he do not take any accountability. In every response to negative reviews there is no accountability. Every body is wrong and Kal tech is right. Stay away, they will make there mistakes your fault. They prepare for litigation because they know this is a garbage company.

Called kaltec becasue my ac wasn’t working, tried to convince me that I need to replace my unit because it needed a recharge. Then told me a recharge was going to be 1465.00 when I was able to call a local company to charge it for 300. Ac blowing cold no thanks to kaltec they also told me it was an emergency call at 3 in the afternoon tech was here for 15 minutes charged me 200 and left with no ac fixed definitely do no recommend

Trash I called kaltec to fix a furnace that was not heating up the building. They came out and did an assessment about what they would do and said it would be working when they got finished. I paid 400 dollars for 2 air filters and was told that was for maintenance. Why would I pay for maintenance I wanted the heat to work and after talking to the secretary she tried to get me to set another appointment with them fix the problem that they were supposed to fix the first time stay away from this company at all cost they are trash.

My furnace went out late at night. Through Google I was able to book an appointment later that morning with them giving me a quick call to ask a few questions and confirm the time. Before 11am they had it back up and working. Gentleman was very kind and did a great job keeping me updated.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I called to get service on some minor gas leaks that were found during a house inspection. They charged $60 just to climb into a house crawl space to check it out. And another $60 just to come to the house. Then they were going to charge $700 to pressurize the gas line since DTE turned off the gas. And another $395 to get a city inspection. The quote came to almost $2,300 without the $1,100 for these 2 charges. The tech acted like he was cutting me a deal for not putting the extra $1,100 on the quote that would have put it nearly $3,500!! I asked for a breakdown of the details of the $2,300 and the tech couldn’t provide any pricing details. He said that was the price. I found another company to do the job for less than 1/4 this quote. They must make a ton of money on old grandmothers. Stay far, far way!!

I had been a client of Kaltec for many year and they were wonderful and seemed to be informative and knowledgeable. I had them put a new furnace in, etc over the last decade. I bought a new build property in 2019 and had them put the central air unit in it. The fuse blew in 2021 and the tech that came out mentioned that the cause could just be the age of my unit, being that it was a 2016 unit. My eyes grew big at this, as I did not understand how I had an old unit put in when the house was built in 2019. He showed me where it showed him the age. After I paid the $300 for the fuse replacement, I, again, contacted Kaltec because I was upset that they gave me an old unit and they had nothing good to say. They promised me calls back and everything and I got nothing even though I had developed a good relationship over the years with this owner. Now, he’s not a good business man and I ask that all proceed with caution with this crooked business. Still nothing to this day from them!

They did amazing work and had our A/C unit working in 5v minutes. For a very reasonable price! I highly recommend them to everyone who need any work done on A/C or furnace systems!

Kaltec didn’t seem to care about me or my family. All they did was make excuses as to why their supply chain issues were not their problem. I went more than 5 weeks without AC, they hardly ever took the time to call me with updates, when I had questions nobody ever knew what was going on, and they never took responsibility for the problem. On top of that, after my experience, they charged me almost $1000 for 3 hours of labor and 1 pound of R410A; citing that there wasn’t anything else they could do to bring down the cost. **Update** Now they’re threatening to sue me for defamation for writing this negative review. Unbelievable! If you value your time and money, stay away! **Response to Below** I’ve never refused to pay you. In fact, you might want to listen to those phone recordings that you have. You’ll actually hear me say “you’ll get your money”. Sorry that I don’t just have $1000 laying around to pay you immediately. I see that’s all you care about. I haven’t refused any phone calls from you. That’s a straight up lie. It’s also funny how nowhere in your response do you mention that you already had the part in Romulus, but somehow couldn’t get it from your supplier. And for going above and beyond with getting the manufacturer to approve a supposedly denied warranty, if this were true, why wasn’t this mentioned in any of the phone calls that I initiated with you to try to get information?
