We had one of our smoke detectors go off at 2:30 am the other morning. There is nothing like getting woken up to a voice saying FIRE, FIRE! The other smoke detectors were fine but we still checked the attic and walked around the house to make sure everything was ok (thankfully no neighbors saw us at that time of the morning!). The detectors were to last 10 years and we were going into year nine so I guess it was time. We were not sure who to call but we knew a neighbor in the back of our subdivision worked for TE Certified so I checked out their website and liked what I saw. We were able to schedule for the next day. We were given a window of 8-10 and on that morning we received a text message with the name and picture of our technician, Enrique, along with a nice bio on his experience. He called us about 20 minutes before he arrived to let us know he was on his way and arrived promptly. We had decided to have all three detectors replaced because of their age. I also had a couple of other items of concern. We discussed all this with Enrique and he explained the process. We also had him perform a complete electrical inspection since our house is 24 years old. He was very efficient and handled all my issue. He then did the electrical box inspection and found discoloration on the metal on one side behind the circuits indicating that those breakers were getting warm. Because this is the original box we decided to replace the box and upgrade the surge protection. This is not a small undertaking. Enrique was able to contact the office and get a new box delivered within the hour. This replacement took approximately five hours. When the box was replaced, Enrique then did a full system check with every light and every circuit. He found two issues which he was able to address and resolved. I am very impressed with the whole process and will be recommending TE Certified to friends and my neighbors.
