Called for a job quote from this establishment in mid-March. A person came out to assess the work that needed to be done in the house that I’m renovating in Clinton on or around March 17. This person stated that they would get a quote to me within the week. Followed up with American on March 24 to check on the status of the quote. Jeff at American promised that a quote would be provided by the week of 3/27/2023. Never received this quote. While I understand that my project is small, it has left a really negative impression that it’s now been nearly three weeks since Jeff came out to do the quote and the only contact that I’ve had from American was a response to my follow up email. And no quote. I would have loved to give this local business my money. It’s a shame that it seems like my money wasn’t enough for any kind of follow through.

I needed several outlets upgraded because I am selling a house. The project was completed in a very timely manner and the electrician was very friendly and knowledgeable. I have dealt with American Electric for many years through my workplace and I have always been pleased with their service.

Jeff and Nate were very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. Troubled shot the electrical issues we were experiencing and got our issues resolved. Highly recommend them and will use them for future needs.

We had American Electric quote, and install underground wiring and conduit for a home project. They were very easy to work with and accommodated our scheduling needs. I would use them again and recommend them to those looking for a dependable electrician in the Clinton area.

Called them on an emergency basis this morning after being told no by other companies. They came out diagnosed the issue and fixed in 10 minutes. (Bad meter fuse) gentleman was very professional and kind. They will definitely have my service in the future. By the way today’s a Saturday. My only this I was unhappy about is they don’t do payment plans. But I can understand why they don’t.

Well…twice were told that they would be out on that day!! No Call No Show both times!! I had to call them to see when or if they were going to come out!! Had to find someone else!!

I have an electrical outlet outside that I was using yesterday for Christmas decorations. I plugged a GFCI extension in the outside outlet, and immediately the breaker tripped. I wasn’t able to reset the breaker. It would keep going back in the tripped position. I called American Electric for help. The electrician asked me to send pictures of the outlet and breaker. He than explained to me that I had a GFCI breaker. That I didn’t need the GFCI extension. He also told me how to reset my breaker. He didn’t take advantage of my lack of knowledge. Which tells me that this company has integrity and honest. It also saved me a service call fee. I have had their electrical service before for outside lights and security system. They are very friendly, professional, and good service they provide. I would highly recommend American Electric.
