Multiple calls and multiple visits to get Service Today to connect our new air conditioner (purchased through them) to the Dakota Electric Energy Saver box. The people who installed the air conditioner (Boys Mechanical dba Service Today) did not tell us they left it unconnected. We noticed it and called Service Today. Service Today referred us to Dakota Electric. Dakota Electric said Service Today should have reconnected it. It took two more phone calls to get the right person out to reconnect it. Didn’t return voicemails. Tried to leave messages and their voicemail was full. Very frustrating and poor service. Additionally, they do NOT provide detailed/itemized receipts. This seems sketchy and not transparent. I’ve used them a few times in the past, but I will not use their services any more.

I am reviewing for my 88 year old neighbor who called them for an AC check up. It was working fine and during a Service Today visit (she got their number out of a five star rated magazine) she was told she needed a new AC unit due to leaking for $14k. She wrote them a $5k check for a deposit. I checked in on her and had her cancel the work and her check (which they have not sent back like they said they would). She called another company she has had before and they said there is absolutely nothing wrong with her AC unit and it continues to work fine. It is wrong to take advantage of an elderly person like this.

After hearing some very bad news about my AC unit needing repair and was not covered by warranty, I was quite upset but was so incredibly surprised that today’s tech told me they wanted to do right by me and are doing the repairs for free. I am so very grateful!!!

Excellent service, thorough and courteous. Technicians always excellent. Had to reschedule twice and office staff didn’t give me a call about that, I had to call them to find out what was happening.
