We have used Floyd’s before about a year ago to get an issue resolved, but the issue has become recurrent and they are no where to be found. We have tried calling multiple times to get someone to come out and look at what is going on and are always told “someone will get back to you” but nothing has happened. Their lack of response has left our business without power (and having to run on a diesel generator) for over a week at this point, causing not only a loss of revenue, but also a shred of money of having to continuously fill up the generator. I’d only recommend this company if you thoroughly enjoy not having power while living in the heat Texas because they are going to take their sweet time to even give you a call back.

Floyd electrical service has left my place of employment without electricity for over a week now with no response. Absolutely do not trust them with services to your home or place of business!

We had an major emergency with a main breaker that was faulty. Alex went above and beyond to get us back up and running with a new 1000amp breaker coordinating with Austin energy and the regulatory body of Lakeway Texas. Thanks Alex!

We have been unable to operate certain things at the same time, because it would blow the fuse. They did some kind of split on the fuse box and all is well. It was very reasonably priced and took half the time they allotted for completion. They also cleaned up their mess before they left. Gave me a free estimate and were punctual when scheduled for the work. I will recommend Floyd Electrical Services and we will use them again.

I want to start this review by saying Floyds may be a great electrical service that could provide excellent value, unfortunately we were never able to find out due to scheduling issues. The company provided a great quote over the phone for the work we wanted done. We were excited about them doing the work but wanted a firm quote before scheduling service. So we waited ten days for an appointment to provide the firm quote only to have nobody show up. We called and were apologized to and supposedly rescheduled for the next day, again nobody showed up. This time we were told it would be a week before service could be scheduled again. I understand that construction and the services market have been busy in Austin so we figured we would try. Well a week passed and again no electrician. At this point we were apologized to profusely and promised a text containing a manager’s number who would rectify the issue. All the while I never complained much and was quite friendly to the schedulers. Well no text ever came and upon calling back to find out if someone was going to come this week we were scheduled for their sister company (Thomas Electric) who later called and cancelled. That was about all of the nonsense I can take so we moved on. I will say their over the phone prices sounded good (over the phone quote was about 1/2 to 1/3rd of others we spoke to), but as it seems impossible to have any follow through I would approach this company with caution. Side not I was able to schedule quotes with other electrical companies for the next day with one call (the ease of scheduling was what prompted this review).

I’m so glad I came across this company! The technician was not only courteous and professional, but he also resolved my problem quickly. He is a polite, hardworking individual who takes pride in his work. He ensures that you are completely satisfied with the work he does by providing excellent customer service and satisfaction. Our electric panel went out on a Sunday night at 8:30pm – we called and your technician was there in no time and restored our breaker and we were saved!!! The technician was very professional and very knowledgeable about our problem. I would highly recommend Floyd Electrical Services to anyone. Thank you for the 24 hour emergency service you provided. Floyd Electrical Services did what my home warranty company couldn’t. They responded in a timely manner to my emergency situation. I called them a little after 10:30 & they had a knowledgeable, friendly, professional technician at our house before noon. Dan was able to get to the root of our problem & give us some peace of mind. And it didn’t cost near as much as I expected.

I had been having an issue with one of my outlets and Floyd Electrical Services came out, diagnosed the problem, comprehensively explained the issue and fix, and repaired the outlet. Furthermore, they took the time to check all the other outlets for similar issues and found that my house needed new outlets to bring it up to code. Both techs were efficient, kind and very open to explaining what they were doing. I look forward to continuing relationship with this company.
