I had the misfortune of buying a unit constructed by a contractor affiliated with Maurice plumbing- John Foti. After a year of living in the unit, one of their poorly placed sewer pipes collapsed causing my dirt floor to flood with sewage. They claimed it was the house settling. Later on our foundation cracked with water flooding the lower floor due to poor drainage. They blamed some other company that they hired to do the drainage. Two other units in our complex had the same flooding issue and Maurice plumbing came in to patch up some holes and blame someone else for the issue. These guys sleep well at night water proofing a house for 1-2 years and then finding every excuse to blame either house settling or some other company that they chose to use. I’m sure they’d blame Home Depot if they could for their own poor construction. STAY AWAY FROM MAURICE PLUMBING. You’ve been warned.

I needed a repair of a kitchen faucet which was leaking. I scheduled an appointment, waited a whole day for the technician, called them to find out where he was. They told me that he’s coming. Four minutes later, they unsuccessfully try to call me to tell me that he could not find my condo building (downtown Stamford) and arbitrarily cancelled me. I give them credit for expeditiously getting the COI for the project.

They’ve done two jobs for me, both excellent. Replaced a faulty spicket outdoors and leaky toilet in spare bathroom. Friendly guys who come on time and do very good work, and the admins in the office who do the appointments and invoices are really personable, too.
