Roto-Rooter was prompt and came out and completed freeing of the drain blockage. No problems there. However, they are VERY EXPENSIVE compared to what I had paid for in the past. Almost twice as much. That’s why the rating isn’t better.

Was given a 4 hour arrival window, only for the tech to show up an hour after the arrival window closed. This normally isnt a big deal, but working nights, its a pain when appointments are made and people aren’t punctual.

We were very happy with our experience with Roto-Rooter. They came after regular hours and took care of the problem. Easy to schedule, prompt, friendly and fast. Highly recommend this company.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Roto-Rooter. I called them to run a mainline machine through my sewer line as it had become clogged up. They did that aspect of the job to my satisfaction, but what occurred after that is why I decided to write this review. You should avoid this company at all costs- I would give them 0 stars if I could. After clearing the sewer line, they offered a free consultation with their mitigation specialist and that is where I should have been more wary. However, we did have some water in our basement and I have a young child that I did not want to expose to mold or anything dangerous. The specialist was absolutely certain that I needed to hire them to take care of any potential mold problems. and convinced me that he could help me file a claim with my insurance company to take care of the majority of the cost. Eventually, he sold me on doing this, and to be fair, I should have probably not been sold on it so easily by this charlatan. He did help me file the claim with my insurance, but the work they did was not what he had promised. They ended up bringing in a dehumidifier and a couple of fans that they let run in the basement and that’s something I could’ve easily rented from Home Depot for a minimal cost. They said that before they removed any of the wall in the basement, they would test for lead and asbestos and would then remove any of the impacted materials. A few days before they started work, they told me that they no longer felt they needed to do that testing and would just go ahead with the removal of materials. That “removal” was a joke. They spent 20 minutes in my basement and removed far less than they’d originally told me. They claimed to have sprayed antimicrobial, but could not remove as much as they had anticipated because they had found what they believed was asbestos when they attempted to remove the wall. Obviously this was negligent on their part as they previously said they would test for asbestos, decided not to, and then didn’t do the work that was promised because they found…asbestos. I was obviously disappointed at that point, but when they sent me the paperwork after leaving my property I noticed that they had charged for more work than initially quoted even though they did far less work than promised. Additionally, they even charged for LEAD AND ASBESTOS TESTING! All this to say, I would not recommend this company to my worst adversary. They are clearly trying to take advantage of honest, hard-working people and have a clear lack of ethics and morality. We are not a wealthy family (My wife and I are public educators) and this was an unnecessary expense that we will not easily be able to afford. Avoid this company unless you are wanting to get scammed out of your hard-earned money. Even the part that I was satisfied with (augering the sewer line) was $500 and I have seen numerous other companies in town offering it for $100-$150). They did their job with that, but you can find it much cheaper if you shop around a little- which I clearly should have done as well. Please don’t make the same mistake. My only purpose in even bothering to write this is so that other people don’t get taken advantage of as I was.

Snaking a drain does not cost $500. It takes all of 5 mins and a snake that you can get from Home Depot for $30. There’s a reason they won’t quote over the phone.

Mike and Matt were a professional, kind, and effective team. They cleared my clogged pipe, ran water through the washer to ensure the drain was clear and gave me a 6 month guarantee. They did a great job! While I was quite surprised and sad by the $500 price tag, they did accept a coupon I had found online, which I was so grateful for.

THIS IS BECAUSE some no brainer left this company a 1 star. His name is “Anthony Valenzuela”.. he NEVER even used this service and he left a Rash of BAD reviews around town. What he left had no Bias on service or work. Thank you.
