One of the big advertising slogans is open 24 hours and no overtime fees. Called on Thursday because our water heater died and was told that they couldn’t a plumber there until Monday! I guess going without hot water for four days is just a “routine” call🙄 …

the service tech. Jesse, was prompt and thorough. He explained the situation, outlined what the needs were and the expense. Then proceeded without confusion, and completed the service. He explained further service if needed. We are satisfied with the results.

From the initial call to the final invoice , this was a great experience with a stressful situation. The most worthy of noting was the technician, Camden Hart. As I expressed to him and to the company in the immediate feedback request, in addition to being skillful and knowledgeable, Camden was polite, respectful, empathetic and reassuring. His interpersonal skills went beyond superficial politeness. He is the best of representative of Robison, and he spoke proudly of his in-house training and apprenticeship. If I had any questions about staying with Robison’s moving forward ( after years of loyalty), Cameron ended any possible misgivings. He is to be commended. We will not hesitate to keep using Robison services and would be thrilled to make a special request for Camden as our technician moving forward.

We have used Robison Plumbing a number of times and have always been very pleased with their work and professionalism. Today, Sean and John replaced our 19 year old water heater and also assisted with connecting a deep sink. Both gentlemen are true professionals!

Do not waste your time or money with this company! I called to get an estimate for a basic water heater replacement. During the conversation with the scheduling office, they mentioned a service fee, but I assumed they were talking about when they actually did the work. Instead, they charged $140 to give an estimate. The estimate was almost 50% higher than the other quotes that I received from other plumbers. It seems like a racket that they use to take money to me. All the other local companies gave free estimates for a cheaper cost on the work. Not to mention, technician gave a quote that included the things I already had with the current water heater, such as a stand and earthquake straps. After several attempts to get a call back from the sales manager, who leaves before 3:30 PM apparently, and never called me back, I was finally able to get a hold of someone. The sales manager, Tom, told me at first that he was going to return my money and he would call me if there was something different later. He sent an email, rather than call me back, stating that they were not going to return my money for their useless estimate. He said that I agreed to the service charge on the phone call with the scheduler. I don’t see why anyone would use this company. Their prices are out of whack, they charge for estimates when other companies do it for free, were rude throughout the discussion, and will not call you back if there is an issue. Do not waste your time.

Existing customer of Robison plumbing, called at 5pm for a leak at a rental when I was out of state. They first tried to put it off until the next day, July 4th but I told them we were accumulating water damage since the tenant said the water shutoff didn’t work. They said they would be out that night. Never called me, when I called back later that night they informed me they had no one avilable. Next day I called back and they said I was on the schedule for that evening. Managed to move it up to early afternoon, they confirmed, and then no-showed with no eta. At this point it had been almost a full day. Canceled the appointment, won’t use them again, very unreliable.

Paid $124 for a service call to evaluate whether our electric water heater was heating properly. All the tech did was verify the water was hot (duh) and then slap down two estimates: one to replace the heating elements and another for a whole new water heater. If we wanted him to actually troubleshoot to determine if the elements were really defective, that would cost another $300. Essentially we paid $124 for an estimate to repair or replace something that may or may not need replacing. First and last time using Robison.

I called to get a price for the installation of a new water heater. I can understand if they didn’t want to give a price out over the phone because there are so many variables such as gas or electric, short or tall tank, up 3 flights of stairs in a closet or in a basement. But, I had all of the details ready because I’m doing the smart consumer move by shopping around for a good price. I asked how much they charge to replace an electric 50 gallon water heater on the ground floor, with a 4.5 gallon expansion tank, 18 inch supply lines, and earthquake strapping. They won’t provide transparent pricing over the phone, an hourly rate, even a price range, which makes it difficult for a consumer to shop around. I also asked how much they charge per hour, and they won’t disclose that either. But, for $129 the will come out and clarify their pricing by giving you an estimate. I can’t, in good faith, invite someone over to give me a bid on a project without having the faintest clue about how much it will cost. I don’t want to waste my money, their time, or mine by doing that. I hope they’ll consider a more transparent business model moving forward.

These guys suck! We hired them to do a rather big job and the guy running the job asked us to pay them prior to completion. The next week he refused to complete the work.
