I recently had Roland refresh our whole new house in Miami Shores. I wasn’t able to be in the state for the project and so I relied on him to show up and complete the work without direction. His team were great, the project was on budget and on time. They were clean and helpful and went above and beyond. The work is great and I highly recommend them.

For my taste the finishes are not rising to the premium that Roland charges and the time it took them to deliver the project. I understand each project brings certain challenges. The reason I contacted Roland was because I thought he could rise up to the challenge but I ended up feeling disappointed. I’m taking parts of the work down and having it redone by someone more skilled. I’m sad about the money, stress and time I have invested in this project. Taking into account all the delays and the money I’ve spent I think I would have been better doing it with independent handymans. I will not work with Roland anymore and I cannot recommend him, unfortunately. My advice to Roland is: show more attention to detail, use people who have the required skills for the different tasks involved in a project, don’t try to use the same person for everything, perform regular quality inspections, don’t let the burden of checking for defects fall on the owner, be proactive not reactive and focus on quality! The timeline is not important if the work is exquisite!
