Kristian came to my home December 4th for estimate of my kitchen countertops and floor. He said they could start Jan 2nd but in order to hold the date I had to put half of the deposit down. I paid him $3750 via zelle to confirm date. December 7th I called Kris to tell him plans changed because I had to be out of town for business and he said he had already bought materials and couldn’t give me a refund. I said let me have the materials and the rest of the refund. He wouldn’t do that either. I asked to reduce services to just do the countertops since that wouldn’t take as long before heading out of town and he said I still couldn’t get a refund for the remaining balance. He threaten me stating he would take me court and put a lien on my house and vehicle for the remaining balance, hence he has never done any work. Because I didn’t follow through with the job. Now its February and I have never heard back from Kristian about giving my money back or trying to resolve this issue and he has not done any work at my home. I never signed a contract that said I couldn’t have a refund or reduce services. I am baffled that a person could in good conscience steal someone’s hard earn money.
