I own a few investment properties and recently needed to do a remodel on kitchen and bathroom in an apartment. The original flooring was linoleum and called up Lance, the owner of Paradise Flooring for advice. He advised that based on the way the apartment is configured and that it’s a rental I should go with something very durable like Luxury Vinyl. He had suggested a color that matched my vision for the kitchen and bathroom and would be a good contrast to the wood laminate flooring that covers the rest of the unit. Update 05.2024 Have used Paradise flooring on multiple renovation projects. Paradise flooring carries in stock flooring you cannot find elsewhere. If you are looking to differentiate your projects from the standard flooring available at other big box retailers look no further. Lance was also very helpful in coordinating with me over the phone despite living in the Bay Area. He sent me various options, colors, and was able to get it in my contractor’s hands in a very short time frame. He also accepted a return for unused boxes which was also very helpful. His price was fantastic especially when compared to a similar price point at Home Depot or Lowe’s.

Cannot say enough great things about Paradise Flooring and specifically Lance Takehara! Great selection and a super knowledgeable owner that will work with you to find the appropriate flooring for your price point and situation. He provides excellent guidance and consistent communication throughout the whole process. I travel a lot and it can make working with contractors and vendors really difficult, but Lance has been so accessible and so helpful, even going so far as to recommend other vendors for my renovation. I’ve now used Paradise Flooring for two properties and I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone I know!

Locally owned flooring store… Before you purchase your flooring at the big box stores also known by their orange and blue logos, I highly recommend you visit Paradise Flooring,. Paradise carries luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), hardwood, laminate and tiles. Lance and his team are very knowledgable, friendly and go the extra mile to help you select the correct flooring for your home or rental project. They have a large selection to choose from and have popular styles in stock, as well as baseboards, underlayment and leveler. I purchased and installed Karndean Korlok LVT, which is top notch, looks fabulous and easy to install. The click system is easy to work with and doesn’t break like the ones you’ll find at the orange and blue stores. Karndean is my favorite over other brands I’ve installed, which include Paradigm, Pergo, LifeProof, and couple cheaper ones from the big box stores. Whatever brand or style you choose, Paradise Flooring will take care of you and your flooring needs.

I was looking for flooring and was impressed by a friend’s Swiss Krono flooring and asked her where she got it from. I called Paradise Flooring and Dan was incredibly helpful. In the end, I decided to go with a local Maui company because I was in a rush but if I had an extra week, I definitely would have gone with Paradise Flooring. Their selection is incredible and even with the shipping cost would have been comparable (if not less expensive than) than what I saw on Maui.

I am pleased to share my highly positive experience with Paradise Flooring, and in particular with Lance Takehara for the excellent customer service he provided to us. We ordered the flooring for our home renovation from Paradise because they did a much better job than the other flooring stores we visited in listening to us and responding knowledgeably to our priorities. We ended up selecting Swiss Krono laminate flooring, but after making our deposit to place the order, our project ran into hiccups. The general contractor we were using was overextended so we ended up having to switch to a new contractor. Then we experienced delays due to the pandemic, after which we had to process a new building permit application due to the accumulated delays. That is to say, through no fault of Paradise Flooring it was a full two years from the time we placed our deposit to the time when we were finally ready to have the flooring installed. Lance kept in regular contact with us through all that period, keeping tabs on the situation but never putting pressure on us as we contended with various complications with our project. Now the flooring has just been installed and we are delighted with it! We had to make adjustments to the quantities of the materials when the realities of the installation resulted in differences from what we had ordered, but Paradise Flooring assisted us in making the necessary changes with a minimum of fuss. The owner and employees are knowledgeable of materials and kind/helpful, also when adding new material to there inventory they have the product rep come out and invite installers out see a demonstration

Thank you to Lance who helped us select the perfect flooring for our home! As a LEED professional in the design industry, I appreciate the quality and sustainability of his product lines and the fact that it was affordable. He also worked with our installer to navigate them through a successful installation. They have something for every style and budget. If you don’t know where to start, this is a great place to go.
