I had a wonderful experience with Highlander for my floor sanding, staining, and sealing. Tom was great to work with, explained everything thoroughly, and answered all my questions. David and Christian did an amazing job on my floors. I would highly recommend them. The whole process was very smooth.

I would highly recommend Tom and Highlander flooring. We were getting our floors redone as there were some seriously scuffed up portions of our flooring due to kids and unexpected work-from-home wear and tear. Tom was confident in working with our engineered hardwood, which not all flooring companies can work with. We had seen the exceptional work he had done with our neighbors floors (same floors as ours) and despite choosing a different stain received the same exceptional work. We were navigating the refinishing while the apartment was still furnished and we were away on vacation during the holidays. We were blown away at the quality of work we returned to, as well as every item in our house being replaced exactly as we had left it(including our complicated entertainment system ). I had to joke with Tom that the only thing I did notice was our bed was 3 inches to the left of it’s normal spot. If you’re looking for a provider that offers sound advice, a good price, friendly and trustworthy service, timeline efficient and quality work I couldn’t recommend Tom and Highlander enough. We even noticed a few minor dents and scratches our kids were likely responsible for and Tom and the crew were quick to offer help in buffing those out and taking care of any other items that needed to be addressed. He truly showed an effort to ensure we’d walk away happy with the best experience possible. He wouldn’t consider the job done unless we were completely satisfied, which we quickly were.

I would not recommend this company. They do not know the difference between maple and oak, they sanded my hardwood floors too thin and did not apply the finishing correctly. If I don’t clean up one drop of water from the floor within the first few seconds, the grain raises up. We also have peeling boards. AND they didn’t cover our PTAC units when sanding. I’m not a review person, in fact this might be the first review I’ve ever done. That’s how upset we are about this. Keep looking

Was great until it wasn’t. Got my floors refinished and look great however literally a week after I starting noticing issues. A crack starting appearing in a floorboard. I had to follow up 3 times to get someone to come back (ideally refasten the board and use wood filler, which they used on other spots on my floor). Ron does the inspection and says he would send some guys over when back in the area. Follow up days later and says nothing they can do. Don’t do it.

Scammers. Charged me $4600 for work that could have been done for few $100. I was told to replace the section of the floor due to water damage. When I inspected they just sanded and varnished. Dont trust them, they will do shortcuts. I wont recommend. If you do hire them dont pay them full unless you are 100% satisfied with the results

John was highly recommended and rightfully so. John and his staff were outstanding. They were always early and ready to work. Our floors were transformed from a shiny oak to a dark walnut color which will perfectly compliment the colors we picked to paint the house. We will not hesitate on recommending to anyone looking to get their floors done. Growing up the movie Highlander was one of my favorites. One of the most memorable lines in the movie is: There can only be one. There can be only one Highlander Hardwood Floors.
