We just had our flooring installed by Carpets Unlimited at our lake house. This was a remodel job of which 2 other contractors stepped away from. A 3rd contractor came in and quoted over $40,000.00 for the job. An inspector from Carpets Unlimited measured our job and immediately came in at 300sqft less than the previous quotes with a better product and also found issues with our sub floor that others did not find. We can not recommend Carpets Unlimited enough for their professionalism, job performance and quality workmanship. Thank you Stan, Danny and the older gentleman that came out and did the estimating for saving us over $8,000.00 on this project. We will refer our friends and neighbors and recommend your company to anyone needing new flooring in the future.

Carpets Unlimited recently completed the carpet for my new office and did a fabulous job! When discussing what carpet to move forward with, Paul was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their team was in and out in one day with videos to follow once it was all done. The final product looked great on video and even better in person!

See pictures I just did a super long review explaining our disgust /dilemma ever since install of the hardwoods we had installed from years ago! My review actually was too long to post but I wanted to actually be thorough and cover because it has been a super long journey!!! I will try to make this very short and to the point and have to leave details out but (without looking at my around 2005 we had CU out,price a job for us of hardwood and tile (which that never was sealed on top of everything else) not long after install we started noticing gaps in the wood(which there was just a Band-Aid of wood filler on the issue) and now we know why)& couple years later our hardwood started swelling, we had multiple people out because after repeated phone calls trying to reach the owner @ cu because the salesman who priced our job I found out had been fired along with several others(maybe 1- we were misled just to make the sale?). After i repeatedly tried making contact with Stan the owner getting nowhere, I honestly should have called the Better Business Bureau then, unfortunately I didn’t follow through because of going through a number of issues with my health. We had a plumber out, as we kept being told & needed to do and moisture / leak detection. We also had other floor installers came out and we always got the same by answer,that it was a poor install job and you are NEVER supposed to put shorts or real Hardwood directly on a slab & that the swelling that took place had nothing to do with a leak like we repeatedly were being told. At this point the owner never wanted & still hasn’t come out since from the beginning and rectify and resolve this situation from the early days. We were also told by others that it would show itself eventually because it’s not something sceen instantaneously and WILL show itself throughout the rest of the house eventually when real wood isused & then without a barrier/subfloor,directly onto a slab with the glue down which was done and all these years later it is showing itself! So short and sweet.. BEWARE, do your homework dot your i cross your t and stay on the company with any issue if you choose to do business with them! I will come back on here post the pictures because we’ve yet to get anything resolved all these years later unfortunately!! Wishing you all the best if you move forward and hopefully you’re not running into the same issue as we did!! ** returning to add some photos and a copy of one of the leak detection reports- Here is the conclusion of the American Leak Detection report. Findings report in regards to leak detection, unable to find any leaks at this time. Pressure tested baths,hot and cold water sides to find there were no leaks also at this time. The doors front and the back doesn’t have gaps around or at the bottom and there also is outer storm/screen door and is keeping any water out also. While listening to all of the piping during the pressurization process, there were no sounds heard. The hardwood flooring is coming up, but it seems to not have a vapor barrier installed. It looks like the flooring was just glued to the concrete. It seems that the glue holding the flooring to the concrete is now causing crumbling also and is causing the floor to come up, leading too swelling in appearance. Contact us with questions.

Danny was able to come out and give a quote same day and then had his crew here two days later, and got all of my carpets replaced in just a matter of a few hours. They did an absolutely amazing job and I am so thrilled with my new carpets. Danny is one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and was amazing and so easy to work with. I couldn’t recommend a flooring company or person more!

2nd no show for carpet cleaning. They didn’t even have the decency to call me and let me know they weren’t coming. I had to call them both times. Rescheduled for Monday morning. SMH

Carpets Unlimited might be able to install flooring but they don’t know how to remove it. If I could give this business 0 stars I would. Because of a sewer backup, they were hired to remove engineered hardwood. The flooring had been glued down to a slab just 2 months prior. They were aware of the requirements of the project and assured me they could remove the flooring. In fact, Danny, the owner, repeatedly told me that “he appreciated me” If he “appreciated” me, he would have told me the project was beyond his capabilites They were unable to successfully remove the flooring after 3 days and I requested they leave. Their incompetence made it even more difficult for the next contractor to remove the flooring. The pictures show what a mess they made. The LAST TWO PICTURES SHOW THE TYPE OF MACHINE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED AND THE RESULTS THAT A COMPETENT CONTRACTOR PRODUCED. I received the following text below. Danny is blaming the rental company for renting him the wrong machine. Yet in the next paragraph he states that he used ” the exact machine on tons of jobs.” A serviceman from the rental company came out and stated “he never saw anyone removing hardwood flooring with that machine” The floor was extensively damaged despite what Danny claims. ———————————————————————- I’m in a flooring business they called a rental company that has flooring removal machines. I told them that I was removing 2500 ft.2 of glue down wood and tile and to give me a machine to do it the fastest and the correct amount of blades as well. This is what they gave me I apologize I failed you by counting on another company to do what they are in business to do we will be out of there very soon FROM ME: I was under the impression you used the machine on other jobs. If not, I should have known upfront. The machine has damaged the slab. It is too late to do anything today We’ve used this exact machine on tons of jobs. The machine didn’t damage your slab. The urethane adhesive used to install the wood is strong. Removing the wood has Al removed the concrete with it. We are going to clean everything we’ve removed and get your of your way. Good luck.
